we had reserved Guy savoy for our 30 years of common life. So the pressure was... high. We did not regret our choice. everything was like this great chef: impeccable, tasty, shiny, elegant. the rooms are beautiful and overlook the dock. Good idea to get us on the dock by a young chef. We loved the evening and the advice of sylvain for the wines, from the room manager who has recomposed the menu with us. Of course it was exceptional for both of us, but this is not the very definition of luxury and very beautiful French gastronomy. Extraordinary!

We tried both Le Cinq and Guy Savoy this time visiting Paris. Guy savoy has more elder generation customers who also look like regulars. Environment wise I would recommend Guy savoy since it’s more special locating in a museum. Service is equally nice and thoughtful. Food wise, I might prefer Le Cinq a little since the traditional French sauce was too heavy for my stomach, after 5th appetizer I started to have a bad stomach and asked for warm water to survive. One interesting observation was, chef savory was in the room quite often greeting his customers, and talked to everyone in our room but us (we were the first table on that day and he nodded to us when we walked in). I had the honor of having lunch at Guy Savoy's restaurant with my partner to celebrate my birthday. I couldn't have dreamed better, from the kitchen to the frame to the service. the restaurant itself is sumptuous, a perfect refinement to enjoy the chef's superb cuisine. stairs from the betting currency to the table, everything is done to transport you in a bubble for a moment out of time.
