"I live locally and this has been one of my go to places when friends come to stay for good food and friendly service, that was up to 13th August this year when I visited with my wife and 10 members of the over eighties golf club. Two of our group had the vegetarian option of Mac and Cheese and Nut roast, both were very happy one had scampi and was also satisfied, the rest of us ordered the roast, eight had beef and one had chicken, everyone who had the beef found the meat to tough to eat, you could not cut it with a knife, one had the chicken which he said was dry and inedible, we passed these comments on to the waitress but were ignored, all the meat dishes went back to the kitchen with the meat still on them, we ordered 3 cups of tea at £2 each expecting to get 3 individual small pots (standard in most places), instead we got one pot between the three with barely one cup each, you could argue, that's what we paid for, but really? Because we are a group of people in the twilight of our lives we tend to let these things wash over us and continued to enjoy each others company. Two days later my wife was looking at our bank account and noticed the bill, I had paid by card and stupidly had not realised the amount, my wife younger than me at 82 is more astute, she asked if I still had the receipt which I did and when she checked it found that it was not itemised, just a total and the total seemed extremely high, she phoned the restaurant and told them what we had ordered and asked how much it should have cost, they said that it should have been £16.95 less than we had paid but as we had left it for two days there was nothing they would do. Fortunately the poor service bad food and overpricing did not spoil our day, as we were in the company of “good, honest people with integrity”, no Halzephron I don't include you or your team in that quote. In summary, if you want a basic vegetarian meal with an expensive cuppa and don't mind being ripped of, then this is the place for you. Service: 1 Location: 5"

Such incredible food and atmosphere. Staff were all really lovely and attentive. The chowder was the stand out dish for us, but everything was delicious.

Fantastic old Inn on the Lizard serving great food, beers, cider and a good selection of rums. Warm welcome to an ancient establishment which has been there since the 15th century! View menu

Although we didn't dine at this restaurant, we frequently stop by for a cider on our way back from Church Cove. The pub offers a beautiful view overlooking "Hell's Cliffs," from which it derives its name. There are many legends of smuggling and shipwrecks in this area.

6 of us dined here in August 23 '. Limited vegetarian choices sadly. Chips nice. My friend enjoyed her beef lasagne. Kids and I had creamy mac and cheese? Not the Italian style and it was re-heated oven bake affair. My wife ordered fish, namely Hake. It arrived and as soon as she was about to eat it she knew it had 'gone off . My wife works in the trade so knew straight away thankfully. No apologies and her dinner was swapped with Cod and chips. View menu

We had a great time walking along the coastal path during our visit. We sat in the upper level of the restaurant, in the back garden area with our dog. The beer was great and the ginger beer was delicious! We ordered the vanilla creme brulee, which was the best toffee sticky pudding we've ever tasted, especially with the clotted cream. The restaurant was hosting an event, so it was very busy. There is a very large parking area available. We are definitely going back soon for more delicious pudding! Overall, we would rate the rooms a 4, service a 5, and location a 4. The highlight of the hotel was the great view.

Avoid ordering the fish and opt for classic pub fare or fried dishes instead. The prices are too high for the quality of food. I ordered the Baked hake with peppers and Brie, as well as the Gammon steak and chips. The Gammon steak and chips were decent, scoring a 3 out of 5. However, the Baked hake only received a 1 out of 5 due to its strange taste, possibly due to an excess of dried parsley. The fish was dry but still edible. The vegetables (beans, carrots, swede, broccoli) seemed to be frozen and boiled, with a slight sour taste to the swede and yellowing broccoli. The potatoes were the only decent side. Overall, I would rate the experience 2 out of 5 stars, with points given for the good...

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
