"We use this on a regular basis and it's normally good. For the first time ever (after spending lots of money here and being regular customers) my husband rang up to say that the rice was so bad it ruined his meal. Now bearing in mind that he will eat most things, even if they are mediocre at best, this meal must have been bad.The staff refused to believe what my husband said and refused to listen. So my poor husband went hungry.Sadly the whole meal was a disaster. The curry's weren't good (we also asked for one to be extra hot and didn't even get that). The egg foo young was poor and everything was VERY salty. More than normal for a Chinese. We probably would have used them again for food, but after the appalling way my husband has just been treated, we will not be returning. We will also let other people know to go elsewhere. Such a shame. But the shame is on whoever decided to disbelieve us."

20 minutes for cooking our meal at our request is enough for a drink in a nearby pub. Food is tasty, hot and a great variety of dishes on the menu. I adore the crispy wontons. Service excellent

I live nearby and was considering ordering takeout from this restaurant. I looked up their food hygiene rating and saw that they only have one star. It must be pretty bad, so I decided to go somewhere else instead.

We've been here twice for food and on both occasions were greeted as soon as we were through the door. Ordering was quick and painless and the order was ready reasonably fast. There was a steady stream of customers and the phone was busy too. Our food was tasty, hot and with generous portions. A great little gem. View menu

We usually don't get takeout, but after a tiring day of sightseeing, we decided to give it a try and we're glad we did. We placed our order over the phone and picked it up 20 minutes later. The menu had a great selection of Thai, English, and Chinese dishes. We ordered a mix of Thai and Chinese dishes that were delicious and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be coming back here next time we're in town.

I believe this may be the worst Chinese takeout meal I have ever had. I ordered a cashew nut dish with roast duck, but it was mostly unbrowned fatty skin with very little meat, slimy vegetables, and soggy cashews in a tasteless light brown sauce. My husband's beef chow mein was also very mediocre with little flavor. We have ordered from this place before and it was good, but we will not be supporting this local business again. Happy Bhudda, you cannot be proud of serving such poor quality food!

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
