Great burgers! You have the choice whether Rind Hirsch, Reh or Wildschwein should serve as a burger base. There are shoemakers from the barrel and some spirits to choose.

Best Burgers! Unfortunately there is no more Hawaii Burger. The worst service ever! It's so bad it's funny again. The whole is balanced by the very authentic and cool atmosphere directly on the forest.

Lovely place for Sunday lunch, full of local "seniors" which is a good sign that it is good value for money. The owner hunts and as a result there is lots of game in the menu. If the sun is shining the outdoor seating is...a must View menu

The Wilschschwein Bratwürste were very delicious and recommended! Nothing can be tastefully complained about food. The staff was not always very attentive. Although very few guests were there, we had to draw attention to us several times. Nevertheless, the service was always friendly.

we've been here a lot. there are always delicious new things. especially we love the wild dishes. besides the wild classics there is also a deer-burger - just heavenly!!! Or a wild sausage. then the normal hamburger, all home made! pfannkuchen for the children. old from the fass - what you want more. and delicious weine from the Glottertal.Now in summer, of course, the lushly planted terrace is a must. I don't know if there's a nicer terrace.

The location is cute, it's right next to a big playground in Aaper Wald, and the restaurant is full of olderly locals. The decorations are mostly american, and the menu also has chicken wings and spare ribs on it...however it's also got schnitzel, braten and everything German you could wish for (knödel, bratkartoffeln, rotkohl and so on)...the menu is very long. It's not a luxury restaurant, but the atmosphere is friendly and food is alright. Would come again if hungry after a walk in Aaper Wald. :) View menu

A lot of people meeting here from the local area. Feeling like a part of a great family. Exactly a great forest opposite the restaurant. You can have a good walk in the nature. The restaurant is famous for the good soups and delicious wild meat. In the restaurant you can find some trophies from hunting. The owner loves the US... several pictrues and car-registrations on the wall. It is necessary to pay cash (cards are not accepted). The staff is friendly, they are serving quickly, taste is excellent. It's a good value of prize/food.

Wow, what an amazing discovery...I was in Düsseldorf on business with a number of colleagues. We stumbled across this restaurant just driving around the area looking for somewhere to eat. From the outside we thought that it would be your average grill-type restaurant. But when we sat inside we were completely amazed...First, the greeting. Very warm and welcoming by the owner. There was a large group of us but he accommodated us without a fuss. Then there was the menu. A large selection and I would say something for everyone, even if you don't like meat.
