"Jackie has the decor, Jackie has the ambience! The food is delicious. But unfortunately, we were a little out of the staff.... The girls were nice and pleasant, but really had no hard drive to keep the review on the tables, often stand chatting with each other while 8 people were waiting to sit. We stayed for 15 minutes waiting to be taken the order, food service was slow, but when it arrived it was great. Would recommend a friend for fantastic food!"

Jackie has the decor, Jackie has the ambience! The food is delicious. But unfortunately, we were a little out of the staff.... "This restaurant is one of Val Thorens best kept secrets. Inside there is a gorgeous wine shop bursting with French wines at every price point and style imaginable. There are lovely tables for inside dining, but in sunny ski weather, the terrace right on the...snow is the perfect place to lunch apres-ski. The menu is not large, but don’t let that put you off. The dishes we had were extraordinary. And of an unexpectedly high standard. The frois gras for entree was served with steaming hot bread and a toasted brioche bun. Teamed with the rich but light frois gras, it was a taste sensation. We ate it slowly. The wines by the glass were excellent and we enjoyed a champagne with the entree. For main, the fish was an incredible dish. The fish melted in the mouth and was topped with a slightly Asian style sauce and sat on an ultra light bed of what may have been mashed parsnip and a few vegetables. Heaven. One of the best fish dishes I’ve ever eaten in France. That good. My friend had the beef tartare which was also elegantly presented and a taste sensation with just enough spice, egg and texture. Sitting in the sun watching the skiers, it was the kind of meal dreams are made of. We should have had dessert given how amazing the food was but instead settled on the white hot chocolate made with almond milk. Again a culinary delight pushing boundaries. Can’t wait to eat here again next season."

"Absolutely outstanding place to eat. The soup was delicious but to be honest everything we ordered on our table was wonderful. Young guy who runs the place is friendly, professional and has the best of staff especially his chefs. We were so disappointed we couldn’t...eat there on Friday when all the lifts were closed in VT but we will definitely be back I just hope this couple are in charge. Well done!!!"

"Back to the Beavers after a decade, we forced The Star to always be there, just - on- the slopes above the Menuires, in front of the small village of apartments Les Montagnettes. Great place to stop for lunch or drink a drink, and to our pleasant surprise, also open for dinner! Ideal if you are in the Mountains and you don't want to cook. Good choice on the menu, including a number of local dishes. Very nice dining environment, thank you Damien and staff. (Original opinion) Returning in Les Menuires after a decade, we trod L'Etoile to be still there, right -on- the slopes above Les Menuires, opposite the little part village Les Montagnettes. Great place to stop for luch or a drink, and to our pleasant surprise, also open for Dinner! Ideal if you are in Les Montagnettes and don't want to cook. Good choice on the menu, including a number of local dishes. Very nice environment to have dinner, thank you Damien staff."

"Super expérience, petit restaurant perché au bord des pistes en bas de la station, dans un décor magnifique. Une vielle ferme en pierre à charpente apparente, au milieu de la montagne, magnifique cadre pour une prestation toute aussi top ! <br>La nourriture est délicieuse et locale au maximum, les plats comme les desserts sont incroyables, avec un service parfait, les serveurs sont souriants, simples, pas de superflue… un sans faute ! <br>La plus grosse surprise est le prix, qui est très acceptable pour un restaurant de station (25e la fondue), malgré la qualité des produits et le travail réalisé ! <br> <br>Il suffit de lire les commentaires négatifs pour comprendre que le restau est top, j’y mangerai à coup sûr à chaque venue à val Thorens ! "I have visited this area (La Toussuire Les Sybelles) for the past 5 years, summer and winter. Les Marmottes is one of the friendliest places we have come across. The staff are jovial and efficient. The food is tasty and the service is good. Best of all, the restaurant is at the bottom of the ski slopes you have a great view (in the sun from mid morning to mid afternoon) of where you've been skiing. In the summer, you can lounge around the pool, same beautiful view but rather green, and reminisce of where you had been skiing."
