"Looks like the pub has new owners, as it was much quieter than when we had been there previously. The starters took an age to arrive, but when they did they were good. The main meal was disappointing, with the beef on two of the four meals tough and under cooked. The manager explained that they had a new chef and reduced the drinks bill removed the cost of a bottle of wine and some of the beers and removed one of the mains from the bill. Overall a disappointing experience, as we expected the high level of food and ambience experienced previously"

"I have regularly attended the three oaks and still think it is the best restaurant in the local area. However in this instance there were a few issues; No provision of outdoor heating when paying circa £80 head for a meal I’m sure they could supply some sort of outdoor heating? Steak at £28 was not that impressive Tasty steak, but very small and high fat content/gristly nothing special and just accompanied with basic french fries, not their triple cooked Chips Partners main was a bit small Starter was nice but normal pub food Overall the experience wasn’t as good as in the past, menu a bit basic and when it is so expensive here, you expect them to raise the bar a little more? Staff and service excellent"

"Excellent food. However, the short frog looking waiter was extremely racist. I went to dine at this restaurant last night with 4 friends. We are not from the area and had to travel over an hour to get to this restaurant. When we arrived, there...was no social distancing in place. The restaurant was cramped and it was rather busy with diners sitting very close to each other. The waiter took forever to serve us and we completely understood why due to short staffed. My friends and I were talking in our language. The waiter that served us were extremly polite and took our order. At the end of our meal, we asked another waiter for desserts. He said we were too busy talking in our language and then mimicked an impression of what we were sounding like. We didn't much notice and we didn't say much at this point. Then when the bill came, the waiter walked passed us mimicking how we were sounding like. Then one of friends asked him if he had an issue with us. He said he was singing. As this point the restaurant noise level went quiet. One old white man turned around and shouted why don't you go home We all know what this comment meant. In the end of all of this we were made to be the issue by both the restaurant staff and the public. I"

"Live in tvdzarsz and thff position is convenient. The staff are clueless. You can stand and wait to be seated for ages while the place is not busy and tech are talking amongst themselves. The cakes are great but the food in general is big particularly nice. The coffee is also a bit grim. The place seems to have no one in charge and while the staff are nice, they are very drippy and do not seem to have an eye on their customers. Trying to catch their eye is exhausting. I have given up going there now. Been giving it a lot of chances over the past four years and it doesn’t improve. In fact it seems to be going down hill rapidly. Still gets busy though because you can buy a glass of wine on the high street without having go to a pub or formal restaurant. A frustrating place with a log of potential."

"I wanted to make coffee in the room using the advertised Nespresso machine, but there were no coffee pods available. When we inquired about breakfast, we were told we could purchase it from the connected building. We ordered two toast with scrambled eggs, which arrived cold, one Eggs Benedict (with the smallest muffin I've ever seen, cold chopped eggs, and cold cut ham), and one sausage and egg baguette, which only arrived after we asked about it and came with undercooked eggs! Additionally, my son and his partner (who were on their first stay together) experienced a billing issue. He paid for the booking, but then his best man was charged again when checking in! Thankfully, he was able to get a refund. It’s disappointing that I've had to share negative feedback, especially since this place has so much potential compared to others in the area. If my son and I had only paid £100, it would have felt like a fair price."
