"We were told about Jones’ By a cafe owner round the corner whose premises we could not access due to our wheelchair Nan. On arrival the place was very busy but two lovely ladies offered to move to the higher level and gave us their...table to facilitate the wheelchair. We also had our poodle with us so a great result. We ordered two lattes, a pot of tea and a coke fro the lovely lady talking our order. Our food order consisted of a Jacket Potato, a panini, club sandwich and a prawn on brown. All au can say is we were extremely pleased and throughly enjoyed what we had. Our Nan was also offered a glass of wine which she thought wonderful! Our bill cam3 to under £40, our only regret is we don’t live nearer or this would be on our list of favourites."

Popped in for lunch on a Monday. Enjoyable visit, couldn't fault the service and a good selection on the menu. We'll call again.

Ideal morning coffee break with or without cakes in a friendly and relaxed environment, all served at affordable prices. Interesting choice of breakfasts our favorite is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast.

A favourite of ours and our elderly mother whilst we do our Saturday shopping in Market Drayton. Great portion size and quality. Nice surroundings and atmosphere great location. Recommend a visit to all and definitely would return again soon.

Took mum for lunch to Jones. Well she loved every minute of it. And ate every bit of it. She and ourselves thought it was fantastic. Fresh food and wonderful choice of beverages to suit all. Great location and service. Excellent all around. We will...be back without a doubt.

Asked if we could have our drinks with the meal, drinks came and then waited 10 minutes for food by which time drinks had been drunk or would have been cold. Ordered a sandwich with out salad. Sandwich came with salad! Very poor customer service,...no smiles, Not one person asked if everything was ok. Lacked detail. Cutlery wasn’t too clean either. This used to be lovely so I won’t be going again. There are plenty of other coffee shops that can have my business.

we never visited market drayton before, we wanted to eat a bite and came over jones. the tables were good for the Kovid restrictions that were also adhered to. we ordered a beet root and goat cheese quiche, well the baked was crisp, but slightly perfect. and the beet root and goat cheese was delicious with a beautiful salat that was fresh and delicate and homemade coleslaw. hubby ordered a cheese and tweebel toastia he also said as first-class. I only wish this place was more localized to us, but we will be back.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
