"since I have failed some months before I made a reservation for dinner this time, which is absolutely recommended! all the tables were full in the evening. for all my experience it is very difficult to find a good Japanese restaurant in Germany (except düsseldorf, and this is. is for the right food! as kaiseki restaurant, not only a nude or sushi bar, they offer a complete collection of Japanese food. (kaiseki is a style full of dinner menu with several cures, but the offer of course also other styles. we, two asiates and I, were very satisfied with all the means of life, much better than others, the “Japanese”, mostly only poor sushi. (the chef of cuisine is Chinese, but apparently he has learned his career very well! only not all the employees who seemed to serve as profess as chef, but forgive when eating is so good!"

Nice place. It is not a truly Japanese restaurant. I ordered a ramen, and that's the rating it deserved.

I think this restaurant is overrated. the otopustempura had no taste and was like eating a chewing gum. the seaweed was not edible and I only had to eat the pieces without it.

It is propably the only japanese restaurant in Karlsruhe and for sure the most popular. We were there two times until now with friends. The dishes are very tasty. I recommend to try the 9-dishes menu, which however takes about three hours to be served...and has to be ordered by phone in advance. Only the way the meals are served make the visit worth.

Enjoyed my meal of Miso, Seaweed Salad and the Sashimi Bento Box. Was a substantial amount and selection of sashimi including an oyster and large scallop, mackerel, octopus, shrimp, butter fish, salmon and tuna. Was all very good, but not inexpensive at around 26 euro...for the SBB. Total meal was just over 38 euro Clean restaurant that was well laid out and nicely decorated. View menu

In Germany it is generally not so easy to get a good Japanese food at reasonable price. Except Munich, Hamburg, Duesseldorf of course. This time I tried this Japanese restaurant on lunch time, and yes, you can get good sashimi. Service was very friendly...and efficient, and the lunch set was quite nice, and typical Japanese style. I only was disappointed about the Miso Shiru. That was falling far behind the other stuff. But the restaurant is well recommendable in my experience.

during eating there I was already suspicious because there were small glasses of picked ingwer on each table, but there were no designated servier equipment for them. so every patron there started the ingwer with her forks or hackstocks. the glasses were not changed between the patrons. disgusting. the night after eating there I developed nausea, febrile diarrhea and bubble pain. apparently after other reviews, this happens here often. I consider turning them into local health authorities.

I love sushi and other Japanese foods and this restaurant suprised me in multiple ways it has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are very polite and helpful and the food was outstanding. We went for lunch (it is good to make reservations) and paid...what I thought was a very very good price for excellent food. We didn't feel rushed even though it was busy and all ingredients were fresh and presented tastefully. Will definitely return and can only recommend this place best Japanese restaurant in Karlsruhe. A friend of mine wanted to invite me for lunch for my birthday at Kaiseki. She had checked their opening hour on their website. Even though on their homepage as well as at the restaurant 's entrance, it says ,,from 11:00 ' ', but it seems like they...open later. When we, two Japanese, knocked the door gently to get an attention, an Asian female staff came from the restaurant 's counter to the door looking very annoyed and gestured it 's too early. The glass door between us remained closed. No verbal explanation. How rude! Is it really a Japanese restaurant? What happened to our politeness and hospitality from home? My friend and I gave up eating there that day. It was going to be my first ti...

Okay, I was skeptical from outside. inside it is really beautifully decorated and good ambiente. beautiful tables and chairs, although I felt a bar above the top of my back when I leaned back into the chair. we thought the prices were high for the rolls until we saw the rolls. very large, quite expensive. we ordered the menu that includes a hot and cold app, selection of rolls and dessert. everything was very good. we loved the presentation. black sesameis was interesting and tasty. our great weight was the wein. very small pour for the price, and a glass seemed less than the other (a white, a red) than when it was the last of the bottle. I would also like to see a Sashimi entree or other co...

"we were initially april with our Greek course eating there. the weather was great, you could sit outside, but we had reserved in it because it was cool for this season in the evening. 8 people were put together in the corner at a table, although the neighbour was not occupied and no guests were sitting in this corner. we ordered several appetizers, including 2 plates for 2 people each. when we asked what was exactly on the plates on it, the energized answer came "of everything" which unfortunately was not true. it was a lot (but not everything) on it and it also tasted great part well.We ordered some other things so that everyone could taste everything. the tzatziki was either without garlic or with very little garlic. for a greek shameful bad. the zucchinibällchen were something sweetly fritted, which did not even taste like zucchini. the rest of the food tasted good. Now to the service: after our ordered food was brought to us, we were done/unregistered for the service. the waiter who served us at the beginning, we got no more too face for the rest of the evening. he rather sat in the introductory area with ancestral kinship to tell.Nobody asked if we needed anything else, no one asked if we wanted to drink something. When we wanted to get some bread, we had to shout 3x loud so that someone came. one of us ordered another 1/4 l of wine because he had to drive. 1/2 l wein was brought by a young waiter who did not understand a word German. Finally, a second waiter came in, who understood our complaint and brought the desired also quite fast. Conclusion: eating was the greatest part good, typical classic unfortunately bad, the operation a catastrophe. there are some creeps in carlsruhe that can know their menu and give away and are significantly better especially in matters service. I've never seen this grieche again."
