"After the last short trips in Scandinavian cities I was very pleased to meet the newly opened carlsons in hamburg, where I had a quick but tasty lunch with smørrebrøds and gurkensalat to take away. in the evening the tables were already full and many settled to a warm meal, which is also offered. a sign was also for breakfast, but I think that's only at the weekend. also the desserts looked very tasty and at the very cheap for hamburg you just have to worry about saving space for the sweets! a nice little extra is that in a small connected load they also sell Scandinavian design articles - like dinge for the kitchen or small fancy gift ideas. it is worth stopping here if they are close!"

very poor service. the waitress seems to be mad all the time. there is no single sign of receiving. Eating is ok. not sure why it is popular. bad experience, don't come back.

we went to Karlson's breakfast. the various breakfast dishes are well made, affordable, fresh and very tasty. karlsons is a good choice for travellers looking for an atmospheric breakfast place. a very good alternative to the overpriced hotel breakfast or for all those who stay with friends.

we found this place by chance. it lies away from the trubel. it is very cozy in Scandinavian style with wooden tables. they also have toys and books to entertain the children. the menu is in German, but the waitress has kindly translated it for us. I had a lot of potatoes and my man had a goat salad. they were both delicious. View menu

they serve a very simple breakfast. teller full of discs of their choice - ham, cheese, salmon, salamisalat etc. supplied with broth, icing, butter, jam and sauces - this combines into a perfectly fresh sandwich or can be eaten without broth. accompanied by yogurts, fresh juices, sweet desserts and delicious coffee – there is energy for the rest of the day.

lively Scandinavian restaurant with healthy breakfast and lunch. the place is very open and airy, even if all tables are occupied. modern furnishings and no music, so a good atmosphere through table discussions. service fast and multilingual eating excellent - organic tour with crispy speck served an outstanding mint tea with fresh mint - a bit off, but the search is highly recommended?

tasty Scandinavian food can be chosen from a curly, constantly changing menu on the wall. they decide in a doubt for the quiches, they are usually very tasty. it's tidy. the playful interieur creates the perfect place for a pleasant lunch with a friend. randnotiz: if they feel particularly hungry, they must order a pettyness than supplement, because the portions can sometimes be a little small. we had the baked potatoes with salmon and a chicken salad with orange dressing. it was very good and the service was nice. pity that the Swedish cake was dry, because this cake is known to me to be damper. Besides, I had not the feeling of Scandinavia (which was my home before) I had only expected a rather Scandinavian ambience/food accessories/personnel. but it was a nice caffe with good salads!

I think the greatest difficulty is to evaluate this place as a Scandinavian restaurant - what it is not. eating is not bad, but they market themselves as scandal, so the expectations were much higher. After I had lived in Sweden for 13 years, did I look? I look forward to the visit, but I was quite disappointed. . zimtbrötchen are small and flat, no refilling (påtår) on filter coffee, literally nothing Scandinavian on the menu.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
