"Went to Kleine Glocke on our last night in Cologne. We had tried the evening before but it was very busy and they didn't have a table for us. Very happy we came back because our dinner experience and meal was such a highlight of...our trip. We were seated upstairs at a window overlooking the street. The room was lively with groups of dinners that ranged from college kids to grandmothers. We sat back with our kolsch and just enjoyed the excitement in the room. The service was great. The waitress we had took care of us and even chatted with us about where we were from and how we found the place. Even though it was very busy upstairs she was attentive and we never waited much for a refill. The food was very good. I wanted to try a local delicacy that is not found in the states, horse. The dish didn't disappoint! My wife had a schnitzel the size of her plate, which was delicious as well"

Booked for dinner here just an hour or so ahead--and had no trouble getting in. Tried the local beer--it is actually served cold!! Traditional German menu items, ours (pork chop, potato pancake with salmon) were tasty.

First: it is a small local pub quite popular with locals. So I highly recommend to make a dinner reservation by phone early. The food is excellent and the portion large. Friendliest service I have encountered! Go with friends or make new ones as the...mostly large tables will be shared View menu

I couldn't order a drink, and I couldn't get a place at the bar or at a table for eating. empty tables were present, so I assume that I was passed on again and again for people who came in after me because I am a foreigner who looked alone. I would not recommend this place if they are under similar circumstances. next to the cold shoulders the atmosphere was pleasant. it was a nice place to stand around, but I won't go back.

This is a great pub in a quiet alley near the main shopping area. if you´re looking for a kid friendly place or romantic dining or a place to party PLEASE go elsewhere and leave this one to grownups !!! who enjoy excellent home cooking,...regional cuisine and absolutely superb beer. it´s not posh, it´s not trendy and it´s not quiet. it´s popular locals´ retreat, thankfully not dependent on the tourist trade. you may have to shout to make yourself heard it IS cologne remember? but this is one of the very best places in the inner city...book ahead to make sure of a table View menu

We had a very enjoyable dinner at the Little Bell actually, we were seated just behind it. Conveniently tucked in at a Cologne sidestreet, the restaurant offers traditional German cuisine and drinks. Kölsch beer galore, naturally and surprise surprise, they only serve it...in the locally ubiquitous tiny portions of 0.2l... Service is great though, so you probably wouldn't wait too long for your refill. As to the mains, they are clasically prepared and really good if not _the_ best in town. As good a place as any German tavern for noms just bear in mind they don't take card payments.

as a solo traveler, I tend to eat in a bar informally, where I can eat and read, get in with emails or just relax, and this bar meets my needs. a menu that was dominated by the regional oriented were the ones I have tried, delicious and very favorable. I was there too night, and the personal was every night different, but everything I came into contact was friendly and accommodating, despite my total lack of German. they have a menu with English that is a great help, and I had no difficulty picking dishes that were quickly prepared, perfectly cooked and very tasty. the large number of obviously local confirmed that the local evaluate this facility, always a sign that they obviously do someth...

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
