"Ate here this evening with 2 Italian friends: I am usually wary of the all you can eat format but Koi delivered a very pleasant dining experience and we all felt that the price/value tradeoff was very good. Having booked ahead (albeit only 6 hours prior), we were given a table with leg wells in a semi private booth, approximating how one might eat in Japan, but without the need to fold one 's legs. Edamame were plentiful and good but needed salt. A pity that they arrived after some other dishes as we had hoped to eat them as appetisers with the prosecco...but that is a minor quibble! Vegetarian sushi were good (I have been vegetarian for more than 40 years) and my dining companions were very happy with their tuna and salmon sushi and sashimi. Tempura were good vegetarian and traditional . The restaurant design is very pleasant there are even areas that appear to be separated off by shoji screens. I would give full marks for aesthetics! Staff are helpful and friendly absolutely no quibbles there. Areas for improvement aka why 4 stars rather than 5: 1. One of my friends is coeliac, and the restaurant does not have gluten free soy sauce this seems an easily corrected oversight (GF tamari is available in local supermarkets I know, I 've bought it). Of course, it costs (quite a lot) more and so should not be on every table BUT it should be available upon request. 2. We had to ask for wasabi and pickled ginger to go with our sushi maybe local people do not like them, I do not know! Anyhow, once delivered, both the wasabi and the pickled ginger were good, particularly the latter! 3. It would be nice if the menu indicated vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes this would be helpful to many people! I know that edamame are vegetarian/vegan but it is not clear whether the dipping sauce with the veggie tempura (yasai tempura) includes fish stock (bonito dashi) or not...and at some point one gives up asking and just uses the soy sauce instead! Please do not take the length of the caveats as a negative I just needed space to explain! To recap, we all three enjoyed our meal at Koi and would/will gladly return! It is nice to see our part of the city (a km or so north of the centre) becoming a locus of nice places to eat! Koi is to be welcomed and lauded we will eat there again!"

The quality is definitely better than the average all-you-can-eat standard in Italy. More variety of choices too. Ramen and hot dishes are good. View menu

I was in this restaurant last night and also other times and I must say that I go very gladly....the location is really beautiful, the food is of excellent quality and I want to specify that in other restaurants, the sushi has so much rice and little fish or little seasoning, instead from koi you have more fish,) the staff is fast and kind. I highly recommend it!
