Happy to confirm after being there several times that there is a nice corner in this small city where you can enjoy the real italian taste: pizza, pasta everything else is just delicious!

Excellent food, especially the pasta and risottos. Service could be speedier, but when the food is this good it's worth the wait. Make sure to reserve on weekends, this place can get busy.

beautiful place to eat good Italian food. the staff was very friendly, the pizza was delicious. dessert was nothing special, but still in order. friendly atmosphere inside, but it's a little too noisy outside.

Restaurant with vegan options, unfortunately only on an additional table. The Risotto was delicious, but nothing really great for which I would eat extra. If you are in a mixed group, the Locanta is certainly good, or if you, like us, are spontaneously close and hungry. Updated by previous rating on 2022-07-25

we have come here regularly for years and we love the place. eating is excellent, authentic and always of high quality. the team that runs the restaurant is really friendly and sincere. the interieur is very cozy and welcoming, making the restaurant a very popular and visited place. we can recommend it very much.

We often go to La Locanda 26. The german wife of the italian owner seems to be more italian than he is : All the italians of Heidelberg seem to go there to enjoy real italian food. Their pasta are divine, as the risottos and...the gnocchis. Go there for the exquisite food! Being intolerent to gluten, it's also a place where so far, my intolerence didn't kick in.

A group of us met here the other evening. It looks cute modern interior and a cute little garden in the front. There is traffic and the streetcar runs down the street but because of the hedge you don 't notice it that much. Sadly,...the service was lacking and the food was nothing to write home about. One person in the group had the rather pricy loup de mer with truffles and could barely taste the truffles. My fish variations on arugula was ok but nothing special. The restrooms are nice (this is always an important point).

I can 't count how many times I have been there for lunch an dinner, maybe around 50 times, I think this speaks a bit for itself. The pros: In my eyes you get one of the best in town pastas, all fresh and extremely delicious....I always try to eat something else but I end up with pasta in the end as it is so fantastic. Additionally I like the starters very much, not too small and fair value. The cons: Sometimes it is hard to get a table as it is pretty small, additionally it is too loud in my eyes. I wouldn 't call their pizza as con , but there are a few places where you can get better Pizza, like Salerno in the Brückenstraße or, my personal favorite, at Heid 's. All in all I like this rest...
