La Locanda - Menu

yesterday evening, sitting outside, beautiful wooded plots, the menu was only in German and French, but between my son and a fraudulent sheet we got what we wanted. service was prompt and eating was very good, try the mushroom ravioli....

Auf einer Radtour kamen wir am Karlstern vorbei und kehrten ins La Locanda ein. Wir wurden sofort bedient. Bestellung schnell aufgenommen. Unsere Pizza waren zwar nicht sehr groß aber sehr dick belegt. Auch geschmacklich in Ordnung. Von daher - wir waren zufrieden.

the food and the service were okay; nothing to write home, but also not bad. the location is great as it is located in the forest and not too far from where the bison is. we'll eat here in a definitive way, but above all because of the situation. again, eating is good, but not somewhere I would just go for eating.

Ein freundlicher Empfang durch die ganze Mannschaft, ganz viel Italien! Der Fisch wird am Tisch gezeigt, Änderungswünsche werden gerne angenommen. Wir waren mit 9 Mann da und alles ging zügig über die Bühne. Beim Vorspeisenteller hätte ich etwas mehr "mediteranes" erwartet, aber geschmacklich war alles gut! Ich hatte ein Steak - ganz toll zubereitet, Garpunkt und Geschmack getroffen. Alles Gut!

Ein Spaziergang mit unserem Hund am Karlsstern macht bei gut 28°C Durst. Eigentlich wollten wir nur etwas trinken. Es roch aber so lecker nach Essen, dass wir schwach wurden. Als Vorspeise ein Pulpocarpaccio. Reicht​ voll und ganz für 2 Personen. Danach Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten. Auch recht lecker. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, auch eine größere Gesellschaft war im Garten anwesend. Ich kann mir vorstellen wiederzukommen. Preis-Leistung passt.

i liked their inventive antipasti plates and their entrees. i do not think that the waitstaff was rude, nor was the restaurant dirty -ever. we enjoyed our walks from the army base to the the restaurant through the park with our dog. especially in the...winter and then sat next to the fireplace in the back room. they were even friendly to my dog. and in the summer time they broadcast the soccer games in their biergarten, i absolutely enjoyed every visit! i took all my friends and family members and everybody always enjoyed the place!

In alter Erinnerung mal wieder ausprobiert. Das Ergebnis war ernüchternd. Die Tische mit Plastikdecken bestückt. Es wurden 3 rohe Fische angeboten, die nicht zum Verzehr einluden und auch eine preisliche Überraschung dargestellt hätten. Da wir nur ein kleines Abendbrot wollten, haben wir uns für Spaghetti Alio olio und eine Pizza Vier Jahreszeiten entschieden. Die Pizza war trocken und lieblos belegt und die Spaghetti (die waren früher 2011 besonders gut) einfach nur ölige Spaghetti. Das Restaurant war äußerst spärlich besetzt. Schade eigentlich

I'll stay here for dinner with friends. some of them are Italian and they are often this restaurant as one of the best Italian restorers of heidelberg. it is good, elegant and the staff is very friendly. but risotto is not quite Italian with parboiled rice! pizza is not special, the Asian suppe is very good. I tasted more dishes because we shared the dishes among us. for this price I expected a lot more good dishes. but probably the price is in agreement with the living costs in heidelberg (good breweries are cheaper) especially in view of Italian food.

This establishment is about a 30 minute walk from the back gate of Ben Franklin Village, Sullivan Barracks Mannheim. The route took us past an animal preserve of some sort where we caught sight of deer, bison, and boar. Our dogs were thrilled to be...along for the hike that also took us past a fantastic gazebo that serves as a trail crossroads with beautiful woodwork. Our daughters were beside themselves after we allowed them to stop at the extensive playground complex adjacent the gazebo.
