"My first experience of a Michelin starred restaurant, La Madia is situated in a rundown town of Licata on a very unassuming street where one must ring the doorbell but once inside the contrast is part of the experience- you immediately know you will be in for a treat. We went all-in and took the Scala dei Turchi tasting menu at around 190EUR per person. I was fairly surprised there is no wine pairing option on offer but the wine list is extensive. The food is a tour de force cunningly designed by the chef, inspired by memories of his childhood. One dish even came with a small picture and paper explaining the inspiration. I thought this could be replicated for all the dishes or at least for more than one. Another small criticism is that i felt the mood could be more fitting, by having dimmer lights in the restaurant as they are really bright and detract from the ambiance. Service was great although beware the waiters english is limited. We did have to ask for our bill 3 times and even physically find a waiter as he chose to spend 20 minutes discussing with another family, ignoring his other guests. Be prepared to splash out. If you are in the region i highly recommend it (but do not stay in Licata)."

We had the 8 dishes fishing tasting menuç what and experience! This restaurant is a real gem not only for Sicily. Try please unique tuna fettina . Service outsianding and wine list deep and wide. 3 Michelin stars without doubts: but Michelin 's views and votes are biased against Southern Italy maybe. View menu

is very subjective but to anyone who asks the question: Would you prefer sultan or skin pine? the answers will almost certainly be and the position undoubtedly plays in favor of the first, but the kitchen, sweet apart, is according to me, appannaggio of the second. then it is also true that licata does not help but to a gourmet traveller, no matter.

The emotional side is by far the strongest feature: each dish is built on a Chef's memory, and if you happen to have a similar memory in your hearth this will be evoked like a Polaroid picture full of emotions, and you will enjoy the dish beyond belief. Otherwise, the quality of fish and seafood is superb, and the Chef is very friendly and entertaining. Visited in August 2019 and tried the tasting menu Scala dei Turchi.

wonderful experience, delicious dishes. he, with great kindness, approaches the tables and talks to his guests, asks what they prefer, apologizes if something is not perfect. I would like to make a note, if I am more than good at spending euro for the menu, instead I find excessive to mark a European cup and almost a fall of style to put in euro coffee account that is also offered in trattoria. a place to try at least once in life. it was the first experience for us to the chair. all beautiful and all good, exciting presentation of Mr. cuttaia at the table to present the menu, fantastic service of the staff of the room, Mr. angel and enzo, they put us immediately at our ease.the courses were very welcome, it feels a difficult emotion to explain. You feel transported into a special world where you spend a couple of hours in bliss. All good. Thank you very much.

the cuisine of the pino cuttaia chef is certainly one of the highest expressions of Sicilian cuisine in a gourmet version. the dishes have the ability to transport you to places and moments present in our memory, sending us back to childhood scenes where simplicity was synonymous with happiness. and just happiness is the feeling that you feel throughout the dinner and even after... just thought. very kind and very attentive staff, chef at the hand with which it is nice to exchange a few words and feeling. I look forward to returning.

Soltanto dare un occhio di riguardo nel cliente nelle serate piene , preferibilmente consiglierei nell'estate di ingaggiare due ragazzi che si curano nello sparecchiare il tavolo dopo che il cliente se ne va e di riapparecchiare in modo che i prossimi clienti non abbiano lunghe durate di attesa .Suddividere la sala in 4 camerieri e di dare ogni due camerieri un bus Person cioè un ragazzo aiuto come avevo descritto prima . solo cosi si può andare incontro ad accontentare il cliente . Località do un 5 . Come descritto sopra all'inizio, buon punto vicino al porto turistico e al porto navale ottimo come punto di passeggio dopo una buona cena. Prezzo . Do un 4 e mezzo . Qualita prezzo buono. Consiglio ai futuri clienti di andare a cena e provare l'antipasto misto di pesce buonissimo, poi come primo una bella pasta sempre con frutti di mare con qualche ortaggio, di secondo una una grigliata mista di pesce o pesce spada alla griglia, leggero, ricco di gusto. e per finire un bel dolce proposto dalla proprietaria ...
