"I have visited this restaurant in the past and had a pleasant experience, however, my most recent visit was disappointing. It appears that the restaurant has been taken over since my last visit, and this was noticeable. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when it finally arrived, it did not all come out at the same time. The chips and garlic bread arrived first, with the chips being lukewarm and the garlic bread being red hot. The main course followed a few minutes later, with the vegetables being cold and a very small portion of potatoes. The chicken was the only item that was served hot. We had to send the chips back to be reheated and ended up giving up on the vegetables altogether. The main issue we had was with one of the female staff members who seemed to think she was the manager, as she acted extremely arrogant and rude. She lacked customer service skills, made faces, and mocked us to other staff members. It is worth noting that the other two dark-haired ladies were lovely. It seems from other reviews that this behavior is a regular occurrence from her. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to this restaurant."

Very nice starter but the two pizza's we ordered only ate half, they were not very appetising, no real taste and bit of a let down

Popped in for a quick meal on our first visit to Chapel St Leonards. The service was good and the spaghetti bolognese was tasty. Would certainly return.

I have visited this restaurant twice in the last week for takeout, and both times were excellent. The staff was very helpful, and we enjoyed some wine while waiting at the front.

We ate here after visiting last year on our holidays we loved it then and loved it now! The food here is truly amazing! We were only here for 3 nights and ate here on 2 of them as we loved it that much. We had the chicken and it was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a beautiful meal once again

We have been loyal customers for over 12 years and have always enjoyed amazing food at this restaurant. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed by the quality of the food. Despite arriving on time for our reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. Once seated, it took 30 minutes just to receive a menu. When our food finally arrived, it lacked flavor and portions seemed smaller, yet prices had increased. The pizza was thick and doughy, a far cry from the thin and crispy pizzas we used to love. The prices have also increased significantly, with the steak now costing £23 and an additional £4.50 for sauce. The chicken dish no longer comes with salad or enough sauce....

"I've been in Horncastle on business twice once on a Monday, once on a Tuesday and both times found the town mostly closed for business in the evenings. This time, just as I was on the point of deciding people in Lincolnshire must have a tradition of fasting on a Tuesday evening, I came across The Bull. This attractive old coaching hotel looked inviting, and the staff offered me a friendly welcome. The warmly lit, high ceilinged interior of this Georgian inn was full of diners (Yes on a Tuesday! Take note, other restauranteurs of Horncastle) and the ambiance was convivial. The selection of beers behind the bar was good and the two pints I drank were tasty and well kept. I was presented with two bar menus, a separate burger menu and shown a fish menu and a steak menu on the wall. (I understand tapas is also available at weekends). Quite a choice! The bar menus largely consisted of what you might call traditional pub grub of the best kind. Within that massive choice, there must have been at least half a dozen dishes I was really tempted by but, eventually, I plumped for the cauliflower soup followed by the pork belly, mash, peas and apple gravy. Both courses were outstanding and extremely generous in size, especially the pork belly. My only disappointment was that I hadn't room in my distended belly to squeeze in a spotted dick for pudding! My bill, for such a large and excellent meal, was very modest. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at The Bull and would definitely eat and/or drink there again."
