"booked by a local friend, the restaurant has more than satisfied our expectations. fresh fish, abundant portions. recommend the mussels to the marinara, the risotto with cuttlefish and spaghetti with anchovies. to try also the octopus in the cellar and the baccalà alla livornese. right price given the excellent location. recommended reservation at lunch and compulsory in the evening and, given the scarcity of parking in summer, it is better to predict a little in advance to find it."

"After a morning on the nearby beach we arrived at the restaurant without a reservation at 2pm on a sunny Sunday. The place was full but we were told by a very helpful man that there may be a table for us within 30 minutes. We parked in the restaurants free car park which was helpful and took a seat at an outside table on the balcony and looked at the fabulous view (not a bad place to wait! After only 15 minutes we were taken to a perfect table, right by the open window overlooking the sea and more of that wonderful view. Service was quick and helpful, online menu had English translation which saved us asking lots of questions or resorting to google translate. We both had a main course and shared a pudding. The food was excellent and this is not a phrase that I would use lightly, fish cooked to perfection, interesting and amazing flavours and all beautifully presented. Wine by the glass very reasonably priced and delicious. There was some confusion with the bill as we left but it was all dealt with extremely well. I would highly recommend anyone who like fresh fish and great cooking to go here if you are in the area. In fact if you aren’t in the area it’s worth going to the area specially! Thanks to all the staff and the chef. It was a very memorable lunch."

"It was our first visit to this place in general. Since the other restaurants were closed we walked in and this was the best decision. Since the kitchen wasn’t fully open at the time the thoughtful waiter offered us a plate of cheese and different sausages, one tastier than the other. In addition we got a plate of grilled local pork and vegetables….simply delicious. On a side note we loved the music that was playing in the background. Would highly recommend this place. A bit pricier for sure but absolutely in the expected range and the quality was well worth it. We‘ll definitely come back :"

"restaurant near the archaeological park of populonia. pleasant and welcoming location. bring the norm, good fish, trivial scaling, a little high cost. so far it seems a simple evening in a tourist restaurant on average, but the beautiful must come. As soon as we're done having dinner, we're talking about the quotation behind us. curious and alert we turn and see the caposala (the owner intent to discuss with a table of 6 people. . the malcapitates had been made to host, after the application of the time, at 10 30 and despite having served them already the appetizers and wine, it is announced that the kitchen was closed and that they could no longer dine from the kitchen at 10.30 close. the boys, with a very quiet tone, propose a solution like cold dishes. at that point the owner warms up and starts shouting that you could not do anything because he did not want to fight with the cook, he would not have paid the food already consumed until they left immediately. He literally kicked them out of the restaurant and told him now a boy, even a little basic from the situation, since he had arranged them at the table just before, he gets up to try to clarify and calm the owner who kept bottled in the room in front of all the rest of the guest and is almost yelled that had gone well since they had eaten (antipasti) and drunk at free. only positive note of this story, perhaps to recover the bad figure? gesture however welcome. parking space for ps"

"Well we should have read the trip adviser reviews before visiting. This has definitely gone steeply downhill from our last visit a few years ago. It is now mass catering gone very wrong. Quantity over quality. Profit over guest experience. We shared bruschetta to start. It was not fresh at all. Come to my house in Scotland and we will show you how to make fresh bruschetta. That’s quite a sad thing to say! I expect so much better than o can do at home I’m Italy. Goodness only knows what the Italians think of it! has the spinach and ricotta cannelloni next. Now in fairness it was quite tasty but looked dried and shrivelled as if it had been in the oven for about 5 hours. I would have been embarrassed to serve it to any guest in my home. My husband has pizza and again it was just very average. The cheese hasn’t melted again just trying to be speedy with lack of attention to detail. I’n summary support some of the local restaurants in the area rather than here though obviously if you enjoy a glass of vino that can be a problem. Come on Park Albatross raise your game and pull your socks up."
