We slept at the mas de la forge and took advantage of it to go to dinner at our hosts at the restaurant la telline. We had the feeling of dinner at the inhabitant. beautiful taste discovery with lemons and bull steak. simple and typical cuisine, simply tasty. the restaurant la telline is a beautiful hiding place, a pleasure of the eyes and a delight of the taste buds.

Here it is a place out of time unique...Trop good .a simple but really authentic kitchen .if you have the chance to have a table after booking (16 max covers)Jean paul et florence will be your guide to your dinner for the greatest simplicity and for your pleasure at the edge of the fireplace....I this is the real camargue .Leave your porsche cayen has listed a pleasure picasso on the edge of the car.

We returned to La Mas de la Forge for two nights and two dinners at La Telline. This visit was even better than our first, last year. How these people serve lunch and dinner, maintain a top quality chambre d'hote, provide a generous breakfast boggles the mind. When do they sleep? Every plate at both dinners was perfectly sources and prepared. The cooking is very simple, which is actually the most difficult to do perfectly because there is nothing behind which to hide. Pristine fish and shellfish, local Camargue rice and excellent local wine. Add generousity and warm hospitality. We will be back next year to this treasure.

The arrival is a little surprising, we thought we were at home. the decoration is exceptional (you must love the embracing), the very nice reception, the tables decorated simply, but very warm. not a lot of tables, a very nice fireplace. There's a lot to tell. for dishes, very good. cooking of meat and fish is done in the fireplace, the pieces are of choice and the cooking is just what it takes. a small flat, the cbs are not accepted and a little lost to go to recover species in a distributor. a very good address. We'll go back with great pleasure. especially that the restaurateurs do not change anything to this great atmosphere and their cooking mode.

The entrances are excellent, and we especially appreciate the chef's proposal to replace each of them with two half-entrances, which allowed us to taste the lemons in Mayonnaise, of course, served in very generous portions, but also the lentil salad, octopus salad, bull terrine, the very fresh and well composed. The dishes have less brilliance, however. the fish, certainly very fresh but simply cooked on the embers and served with rice and carrots, is a dish that can please by its hardiness and simplicity but remains fish just cooked on the embers, a little too sumptuous. We dined two nights at the very small (5 tables) La Telline while staying at their hotel, Mas de la Forge (separate review loved it). The menu was the same both nights, and we get the impression that it changes a bit with available fish but otherwise is pretty constant. There are a handful of appetizers, and on the two nights we had the escargots du mer (spiral shell sea snails), the telline (tiny clams, sweet and amazingly good) and a highly priced dish of fish eggs which had been pressed, dried and cut into thin slices undoubtedly a delicacy but not to our taste.
