"Dopo diverso tempo lontani da Pallanza siamo tornati , per pranzo, in questo ristorante, sito in una delle vie centrali della cittadina ed ospitato in una graziosa corte . L' interno si caratterizza per la presenza di specchi, di diverse forme e dimensioni, che donano al locale un tocco originale. Ci è piaciuta l' idea di servire vari tipi di pane nelle cassette di legno dei vini. L' ambiente, ben riscaldato, è piacevole e rilassante. Il servizio cortese ed accogliente. Anche lo chef ama passare tra i tavoli per scambiare impressioni con i commensali. Si tratta di una ristorazione slow food e pertanto se avete fretta non è il locale adatto. La proposta culinaria non è molto varia ma gustosa e le porzioni molto abbondanti. Noi abbiamo ordinato gli gnocchi preparati in casa e conditi , uno con un sugo piemontese preparato con quattro tipi di pomodori dal gusto leggermente dolce, l' altro, dal gusto più intenso, con funghi porcini e salsiccia . Apprezzati anche i secondi in particolare il brasato alla piemontese accompagnato da una morbida polenta gialla. Anche i dolci , strudel di mele e tortino caldo al cioccolato, sono risultati di nostro gradimento. Torneremo di sicuro."

"Se capitate a Pallanza e volete regalarvi un esperienza piacevole, non fermatevi a mangiare nei soliti posti sul lago con menù turistico , vale la pena fare due passi nel centro storico alto, percorrendo la via Ruga e raggiungendo via Guglielmazzi, arriverete in questo ristorante davvero caratteristico in stile italo americano. Una gestione familiare cordiale, materie prime di qualità e anche proposte della cucina mediterranea, come le gustose melanzane alla parmigiana... C'è anche la pizza, molto buona e digeribile. Ottimi i dolci preparati dalla pasticcera Claudia. Buona scelta di vini e prezzi assolutamente equilibrati. Sarete conquistati!"

"I've already been probably 10 times and I will go another 100! Set in an authentic Italian style scene, the staff are very friendly and the food is sublime. As I've been more than once, I can say that its not just a one off. The continuity of the service and the quality of food is the reason I keep going back!"

"A bit strange place to eat. The street looks nothing like a place where you can eat great food. Don’t judge the restaurant by the street it lives in! We ate here with our children (4, 6, 7). A bit of an exercise in staying put for the youngest, but it worked out great. We ate in the garden which is lushes and green. Shade everywhere and awesome atmosphere. The waiter and waitress spoke enough English to understand each other. Dinner was splendid. We had 3 different appetizers, primo and a secondo with a cheese platter for the grown ups and ice cream for the kids. The tartare was just the right amount of acidity and tender meat. We also had the wild ricewith perfect bite and baby octopus. Unfortunately my daughter loved it as well, so I had to share. The shrimp salad was nice, but not spectacular. The pasta with 30 egg yolks and meat sauce was a bit blend. It needed salt and pepper, but was nevertheless very nice. The red mullet with green beans and octopus ink was great. Also had to share… grmpf First time a had Buffalo milk French cheese made in Italy. Very soft. There was 1 cheese I didn’t like very much, but the rest… gosh, it was amazing! Ice cream was watermelon and orange sorbet. The children couldn’t appreciate the watery taste after having so many cream icecreams, but that as well was nice. The children behaved perfectly and had spaghetti with pomodoro. It was one of the best pastas I have ever tasted. A definite must go! But maybe get the tiramisu instead of the sorbets?! Bon gusto!"

"semplice trattoria di altre volte. accogliente e bello esterno con tavoli sotto una vegetazione di kiwi. la conduzione familiare è caratterizzata dalla ricerca di prodotti classici e nicchia cotta in modo superlativo. dotato di parcheggio nel cortile stesso e un prezzo ragionevole posso solo raccomandarlo agli amanti del buon cibo e buona bevanda sempre chiedendo al proprietario. disponibile per spiegare e consigliare."
