"Found this place by pure chance, on our way to a sign for paella we spotted this establishment, thought the advertised menu du jour had an interesting choice for a good price. We walked in and were welcomed by a very friendly chef how rare when you see that they were already busy . Once sat at the table I saw on the a la carte menu that they were offering andouillette, French delicacy which I can't resist when I find it. I therefore ordered it, a warm rocamadour cheese on homemade spice bread for starter. My wife went for the fixed price menu that got us through the door. The great surprise was that not only the fixed price menu dishes were as good as the a la carte one, but the portions were on par. If I can give a recommendation it would be the sangria at 3 euros I think, as good as best ones I ve had in Spain, and I have had a lot that were much much worse whilst there. I wish I could say I will return, but I doubt we will be back in Dax anytime soon. I wish them great success."

looking for a small bistro, we fall on the head of the art and its terrace in the inner courtyard. The setting is very friendly and the kitchen will be tasteful. We chose a bar and his celery purée. excellent in servings and especially in the cus. The entrance consisted of a salad mixed with Indian, fresh and excellent. No big pretensions so, but perfect for a lunch menu at a soft price

This restaurant is typical of the area French with a Spanish influence. Set meal available at mid day but not in the evening. We had salad du chef which was a delicious green salad with smoked bacon and a fantastic oil dressing. Mr. had the entrecote a plancha Mrs. had the calamari a facon du chef in a lovely cream dressing. All this followed by a tarte Alcacienne with home made ice cream. 19 euros each with an extra 9 euros for a very good 50 cl of local rose wine. All cooked by the chef in open kitchen in front of you and his oh so friendly wife is the 'serveuse '. Speaking to the hostess it is best to book and while we were there on a Friday lunch time some people were turned away as it w...
