"When we were in the beautiful state capital last weekend, we wanted to spontaneously, at an Advent weekend, at the old market, vegan-vegetarian, at six breakfasts...with little hope, I called on Friday night and... came a friendly voice to the apparatus that actually had a table for us! I've been more than positively surprised. Even at our time. On Sunday morning this positive impression was not cloudy. A short up-sich-recognition was enough and we had our table with map and shortly afterwards a friendly service. The selection of breakfasts was plentiful, as well as the drinks card. The cafe Aha and the cocoa with oat milk and espresso are particularly enthusiastic. (I was very grateful that there was a cow and soy alternative! The food was quickly tabled up,despite many customers. The operation, also went through with questions that she could answer all. The food was a dream: the bread was great and for the vegan breakfast there was a whole dwarf lawn glass! The only thing I can still wish for is a big vegan breakfast on the map...or I'll go to the great salad bar next time! Or the cake! Or the soups! Or...or...or...! -Gluten-free was excellent -special wishes without any problems -no WLan... but you don't need P.S in the artistic environment: Two of us were already there for lunch the day before and also swarm!"

I'll try next time in Dresden. Otherwise call 5 stars against the 1 star here without comments, from which corner the coming is probably clear...

Mushroom pan with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes will set you right after a day long journey across the ocean to get to Dresden. Good food and wine in mellow confines

I was really excited! Especially there was a lot of choice from vegan to meat. The service was very friendly and the places pleasant. Should we be back in Dresden, we did our best for breakfast!

There are some vegan options on the menue and usually some vegan cake is available. However it takes the service forever to pass by your table. So cannot recommend when you are on a rush. Food is good though View menu

I normally enjoy this place but last visit was sub par. The Sachsen potato soup was missing the normal herbal flavor from the marjoram and there was no salt. It tasted like baby food. It was easily the worst soup i have ever eaten.

The meals from the seasonal menu are actually quite pricey. Sure it's fair and sustainable and that has its price but it tasted like something I make at home with 10min prepping time. Good but not special enough to justify the price point imo. The service was very welcoming though!

Lots of options and a good place to stop right near the main Platz. Had soup and salad, which the salad is a self serve bar so you can pick what you’d like. I had the vegan potato soup which was pretty good not anything amazing but it was warm and filling! Friends had the vegan pumpkin soup and lentil soup, and the consensus was about the same. Solid choice if you want a filling, healthful lunch before eating all of the Christmas market food! There was lots of options labeled vegan, including soups, pastas, pastries, and other more filling meals. View menu

I arrived late morning in Dresden and head on straight into exploring Aldstadt, and first on the list is to sample some local Saxon food. I read somewhere in a magazine a glowing recommendation for Cafe Aha and appreciated the more affordable pricing. The location is good of course, just next to the Kreuzkirche, behind the Dresden Frauenkirche which makes this place a perfect pitstop. Have a bite here before exploring Aldstadt. The soup was delicious, the breakfast spread was good. I particularly like just chilling out in a smaller town and just enjoy the sun. Definitely recommend this spot.

They have a large offer of vegan and vegetarian dishes at AHA (stands for ‘anders handeln’, meaning trading differently). Their focus clearly lies on fair trade goods and they host a fair trade shop in the basement, note that the store has more limited opening times. It was a bit hard to attract their attention but service is very friendly. We indicated a time constraint and they tried their best to provide our diner in time. We ordered the vegan eggplant roast and spring rolls with creamy chili sauce. The menu offered some original dishes so we were very excited but those expectations were not completely met, the food was okay but not very tasteful. The portions were not that big and theref...
