"Arrived 1pm midweek for the local plat de jour, giving it the benefit of the doubt after a 5 year absence. Got a stressed welcome, not a great start. After waiting a age recovered a menu from a nearby table. First interaction “we have only one starter and one main course available as we have sold out! ....really this early and we have no couscous with the only available plat, so chips it was “. Not would you like a drink before ordering ? We did subsequently order a “demi pichet”of the local St Mont Rose Cantegris, One of our basic quaffable favourites. Waitress came back to the table 10 mins later to ask what would we like to drink !!!! Amnesia ? Ate quickly our one only main dish and requested the bill. The wine was charged at 7 euro a half litre . The same wine in a 10 litre box can be bought at the local cave for 22 euros ... a 7x Mark up. Apparently this is for “service as we are a restaurant “after I enquired. What service I thought . Foolishly recommended this restaurant in our guest book . Will not return and now will be actively discouraging our guests after this very poor final experience . A ground hog day from 5 years ago."

Great food and friendly service. The menu was good value and had enough variety to please everyone. The chef has Italian roots and the pasta carbonara was exceptional.

We stumbled across this restaurant as was holidaying in Maubourguet and very little in the surrounding areas was open. We were given a warm greeting and had a lovely table outside. The menu was very varied and my husband and I had the Plat Du Jour. The children opted for calamari to start and the Carbonara for main. It was all absolutely delicious. The Chef came out to talk to us and we conversed in our broken French, with the help of our 16 years old son who can speak French. A very good experience and we would definitely return if in the area.
