"Although L'Atelier was on the list of recommendations from the owner of our accommodation, we hadn't really considered it as we were looking more for restaurants. However, whilst exploring Honfleur one afternoon, whilst looking for somewhere to get a mid-afternoon snack, we came across L'Atelier by accident and noticed they did small plates of cheese or meat. We ordered a plate of cheese to share and a half carafe of Cotes du Rhone. The cheeses were very good quality and whatever leaves we were served were incredibly tasty, with a wonderful (and unknown) dressing. The wine was also superb and we spent a lovely half hour watching the world go by from the outside tables. The added bonus was that we avoided the hordes around the touristy cafés and bars at the Vieux Basin just a few minutes walk away. We hadn't thought about going for breakfast the next day but (by lucky chance again,) we ended up there and waited until they opened at 10. We sat inside and had a delicious breakfast of warm bread, scones/croissants with jam, and tea and coffee. The interior was charming and the table settings of good quality and taste! Don't go there by accident like we did - seek it out!"

The tarts in here are just amazing as were the croque monsieurs, I went for a bacon and onion and Alison went for the mixed vegetables, Colin and Angela went for the Croque Monsieurs, best we have seen. Washed down with some lovely beers.

As a vegetarian eating in France, I found this place a dream. Great food, chic surroundings and without all the heavy cream that can make French food a regret. Fine with children too. My daughter (7 months) loved the potatoes. Relaxed atmosphere-recommended!

We ate here for lunch and enjoyed the House burger , and Pear and Roquefort quiche. Both were delicious, how I wish I could make pastry like they do. Rose Anjou wine was good. We then had the rhubarb pie and chocolate mousse. A change from seafood with a friendly chef and waiter.

What we liked most was that it wasn't just knocking out the same as almost all the other restaurants in the town - the standard fayre of moules frites and oysters. We had lunch here, and loved the home made quiches. Apple crumble dessert was also very good. Good atmosphere, excellent service, we really liked the place.

We needed a quick 'coffee and cake' stop, and in previous trips here this place has never been open when we have passed by! Today was the day!The Tarte Noix Caramel is great (if you like nuts) and although I had a coffee, the range of teas to choose from (and take away to brew back home) looked incredible. Only small issue, but it might freak out a germophobe, was the crack in my mug :(Will be coming back for brunch for sure

They claim to be serving the best burger of the West, but I can honestlysay it's the best in the universe! Everything is home made (from the exquisite bread to the juicy meat). We had a great 'plancha de charcuterie' as entree. My wife also very much enjoyed the home made quiches. This all combined with their superb wine by the glass! A must in Honfleur! P.S. it has a cost interior and the funny & friendly waiter/owner makes it a great atmosphere!

This place is a horror. After ordering two glasses and wine and water, we waited about 15 minutes. Water was hot, rose wine was sweet. After another waiting for 35 minutes for a salad it came for 10 Euro. 4 pieces of lettuce, 2 pieces of tomato, some up to 4 tiny pieces of goat cheese and some ham with fat.Declared on the carte as a salad the paysanne with jambon, nuts, bread. If you want a salad, or service, my advise would be to go somewhere else

Honfleur is one of these places where scores of restaurants vie for attention with fixed price offers for seemingly the same food. Slightly out of the way this place entices with a different offer and a calmer ambiance. We shared a small plate of cheese with a cherry compote and some red wine and followed that with some tea and scones, creme fraiche and jam. Quality was excellent and although the scones might hint at the 'expat' this is a very French take. Try it!!!

There were seven of us touring Honfleur after a morning at Etretat looking for a place for lunch. Although the place is tiny, the owner (and chef) pulled some tables outside and we had one of our best lunches in all of Normandy! The tiny kitchen ( I am being generous in calling it a kitchen) produced three wonderful different quiches and four different salads, each of what Seinfeld would have labeled as a "Big Salad". The food was great, the service was genuine and attentive, and the overall experience was perfect. This was the highlight of our short stay in Honfleur and we enjoyed that city very much. This is a highly recommended place to stop for lunch in this city. The owner was delightfu...
