"Sometimes, sometimes you just find a wee gem. It won't be a hit with the Michelin mob, but by god it was damn tasty. Snails, gesiers, steak, lamb, deserts, coffee... all superb. Home cooked, and you know it's good when you've just had a superb steak and you see someone's Cassoulet and immediately have food envy. Already booked for a week's time. Update. Went back on our final night for the Royal Cassoulet. OMFG, sorry for the profanity, it was amazing. Move over Castelnaudary, the good stuff is in Montreal. Sometimes, sometimes you just find a little gem. It will not be a success to the Michelin crowd, but by God it was sacredly tasty. Stairs, gesiers, steak, lamb, desserts, coffee... everything is beautiful. Home cooked, and we know it's good when you just taste a great steak and see someone's crisp and want to eat immediately. Already reserved for a week. Sorry about my bad French Update. We returned on our last night for the Royal Cassoulet. OMFG, sorry about the coarseness, it was amazing. Move over Castelnaudary, the good things are in Montreal."

I highly recommend! A restaurant as we no longer find it today by its authenticity. It's worth the detour! View menu

Discovered by chance, we were not disappointed with the meal. A sublime Royal cassoulet, a super good and tender, a very good duck magret. A very good reception, service can be a long but very good hair. Reasonable rates even for wines. I strongly recommend. View menu

A very good evening with homemade dishes of qualities, a royal cassoulet that bears its name well and all other dishes were excellent. A well-recommended local wine accompanied perfectly. A friendly welcome in a decoration that is just as much. Possibility to buy local products. I strongly advise.

We had a very good memory of this inn, which we had celebrated a year ago, this time it was perfect, with the royal cassoulet that was excellent, we finished the dish. a great bravo to the mother of the waitress who made this regional dish that I like to have the opportunity to come back we took a beautiful dish of cassoulet always prepared by the mother that we will taste at the hot house in the wood oven and we will bring the empty dish back to the Dominican hostel or we will taste another before sleeping in a beautiful trailer

"My wife and I visited the L'Escale twice on the same day. It was a mid July Saturday and we had tickets to the cirque du soleil show. Before the show we had a beer at L'Escale. We both had a draft beer. My beer was fine - I ordered a blond. My wife's beer however was flat , not cold enough and tasted watered down- she ordered a red draft. We complained to the waitress, who was very nice and understanding. The waitress replaced the beer, but the replacement was not much better! After the cirque du soleil show, we returned to have a meal. My wife asked for another draft, this time the waitress told her that they were having problems with some of their drafts and they had a limited selection available. That explains why our earlier beer was flat. I had a smoke meat sandwich. It took a really long time to be served. Again the waitress was very nice and explained to many customers that they had a big problem in the kitchen and apologised for customers' orders being late. when my smoke meat sandwich finally arrived, I was surprised at how small it was given it's price. also the bread was dry- I bet that it was day old bread. So dry in fact, and so little meat was served that I only ate one of the two slices of bread! not very good at all! to summarize, the beer was flat and watered down, the service took too long, and the food was not acceptable, in either quality or quantity given the price. Thank you Anthony"
