"Whenever you happen to be in the Cannes Mougins Valbonne area, be sure to book lunch (weekdays only and lunch only) at this family run roadside eatery. Difficult to name it a restaurant since it 's set menu only, table cover is paper, the place is always chock full, that 's probably why they called it auberge themselves, i.e. inn . You have to book! Book after 1pm, since noon to 1pm is the local workers builders gardeners lunch time and you 'll understand why they flock here in herds! You 'll find your christian name on the edge of a paper table napkin, that 's where you sit. Only order they take is the colour of your wine! All the rest is set, and what a set! Food is always fresh, with 200 or so guests a day and a set menu, that 's a guarantee. Quality of food and cooking is good, quantity is big, huge forget a big Mac, you 've never seen this before, neither will you probably find an equivalent! The best part comes at the end: all in from starters to coffee and 1/2 bottle of your favourite colour (wine) ends up at 13.50 Euro pp. Now, how 's that for lunch on the Côte d 'Azur, 30 minutes from Cannes?"

Every day there is a new menu. You can’t chose except the desert. Every time we go it’s excellent and you get a bottle of red or rose. Very good food and friendly service. Reasonable prices

Very good family cuisine, copyy with good products, ease of replacement of one of the two entrances (the boss has experienced it), very good atmosphere, very nice staff and very available, I recommend this place of conviviality.

We tried the restaurant as the reviews were good; we called and made a reservation. On arrival we were seated at the entrance and next to the noisy and windy door table reserved and a basket of stale bread. The waiter served another diner sat next to us and ignored us; after finally attracting his attention he spoke at us. Throughout the meal he was surly and rude. The food was ok but nothing to rant about. A huge disappointment give it a miss View menu

This used to be my favorite restaurant for pizza. It was always packed with locals and was a great meeting place seeing friends dining. It changed hands recently and was closed for awhile. It finally reopened and 6 friend and I decided to try it out. After waiting for 2 hours with promises that our orders were coming right out we finally walked out at 10pm with few other choices to get a meal elsewhere. I have never had such poor service! We used to eat there 2-3 times a month but never again.

Well, that may be a little over the top but we go there almost every Friday night. The crust is thin but not too thin. There are around 12 different pizza on the menu plus other standard and interesting choices. Personally I love the Provencial pizza. Owners and waitstaff are friendly. Some English is spoken. They have their own labeled wine which is very good, but not expensive, and the wifi pw is on the bottle label! They have a great fixed price lunch menu on weekdays and it is always crowded. For dinner they are open Friday and Saturday all year and in the summertime they extend that to weeknights too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

"Restaurant chosen by chance with the family. We were looking for a restaurant so as not to eat at home and they still had a table available. We said to ourselves: “pizzas will do it for our two daughters”. And it didn't happen as we imagined. We enter, a young woman welcomes us friendly, we have the small table at the back. It's crowded, I told myself we're going to wait ages. We chose two pizzas, two lasagnas, mushrooms with garlic butter, half a bottle of wine and sodas for the little ones. First good surprise, we were served quickly. Second good surprise, everything is cooked over a wood fire, the mushrooms are delicious, the thin crust pizzas are among the best we have eaten, the girls enjoyed the lasagna, the wine was good and served at the perfect temperature. Third good surprise, people at the counter bring out two guitars, an impromptu concert. We linger a little, we applaud the artists, we order desserts. The desserts were also good, we finished with coffee and a digestive, a small pear (to be consumed in moderation). This restaurant reminded me of the atmospheres in some restaurants from the 90s. Simple cuisine of excellent quality, in the pure tradition of regular restaurants, no fuss. The devil is in the details and by observing carefully we know that everything is perfect, that we are in the right place to have a good time. It's refined, delicate without being pretentious. The welcome and politeness of the people in the room is admirable. They made sure the girls didn't get burned on the lasagna dishes. A small detail that makes the difference. We will come back with pleasure Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"My wife and I ate at this 1* Michelin restaurant on the edge of Grasse in Maganos last night, and it is by far the best new discovery in the Côte d’Azur we have come across this summer. The restaurant is family owned and operated, featuring Sébastien Giraud as the head chef and his wife Madame Giraud as the maître d’. The location offers a beautiful view down through the valley of Grasse, and it is relatively quiet even though it is on a main artery into Grasse from the east. There are only 15 or so covers, and this – in my opinion – is a benefit to patrons both in terms of quality of food and service. The food was absolutely excellent. It is not fussy per se, but features local seasonal ingredients, which is obvious from the first dish. It is creative as well, but not in a way that gets in the way of the taste of the food. On offer is either a 3- or 4-course dinner, at prices of €39 and €55. For quality of the experience, this is outstanding value. Wines are readily available by the bottle or glass, with the latter offerings well-matched with the food and not “over-the-top” expensive. I had fresh tomato and crabmeat starter, followed by the turbot, then a smoked chicken in a lovely broth, and a marvellous finisher, opting for cheese rather than desert. The cheese was special, in that it was a creamy and rather light cheese mousse with summer truffles. All dishes are modest in size and prepared with seasonal (and locally-sourced) ingredients, garnished in a way that makes the flavours come to life. Nothing about the food was disappointing! The service was also excellent, with Mdm Giraud assisted by her very capable son in serving diners. Both French and English are spoken. There is no air at all about this place, which is casual and inviting. With outstanding food, excellent service, a pleasant ambience, and good value, Au Fil du Temp is one of the best finds in this region I have come across in some time, and I highly recommend it."
