"We descend from the anti-slip stairs and we are immediately welcomed by a nice bark. Beautiful stained glass windows with old, soft light, the rocks of the vault with mica shines, comfortable benches. A nice discovery thanks to Google) that has made it possible to escape the overflowing crowds of the terraces and the junk food that reigns there. For there is pizza and PIZZA. And that of the cellar is exquisite: it is not a big pile of paste with 4 tomatoes and a ton of cheese. The ordered vegetarian pizza was delicious, good vegetables on a fine and crispy dough, placed in front of us with attention. And also thanks to the one who chose the music, it changed big noisy tubes. In addition we took advantage of all this for ourselves. We enjoyed a very good gastronomic relaxation at Caveau. I suggest you try."

Far from restaurants catching tourists this establishment offers delicious pizzas cooked with wood fire, all in an attipic room away from the bustle of the street. Prices are very correct and welcoming staff, I highly recommend!

Very nice address, intimate and a little hidden... Finally a restaurant on Cham' where to eat a real pizza with a normal size, quality ingredients and a taste! And especially at a decent price for pizza!! (This is not the pizza ersatz that we can find the competitors around that offer a mini pizza at 18€... View menu

The cave is a favorite in town. Many locals go there, and the wide range of food means that vegetarians and non-vegetarians can enjoy their meals together alike. The garlic bread is basically a must-have pizza crust baked in a wood oven, twisted on itself and filled with amazing melted butter and tons of garlic... yummm.

Tasteful and original atmosphere for this pizzeria located in the basement in what seems to be an old cellar accompanied by a pleasant background music. We started with very well balanced cocktails. Then come the pizza and we were not disappointed! Well topped with an excellent paste, neither too thin nor too thick, just as necessary. Everything for a more than correct price in the center of Chamonix. An excellent discovery that we advise you if you are on the area!

"Had a reservation here for new years eve. The restaurant has a modern interior, with a lot pf qiirky art on the walls. The restaurant was running a double service, but clearly did not have the staff to manage this. While the staff was friendly...and trying their best to manage, it was not a success. We arrived at the time of our reservation 2130), but had to wait 20 minutes for our table as the previous service was overrunning. Subsequently another 20 minutes afterwards to get anyones attention to order a drink. The food was a set menu, which came at a reasonably steep price €80), and had some hit and misses. The first course consisted of crab in jelly, with a fennel mousse. None of our group were particularly impressed, and most other tables neither. Personally I had three bites and left the rest after one fellow diner remarked it looked a bit too much like Whiskas, I lost my appetite. The second course however was stunning Coquilles st Jaques with Herring Caviar. Fabulous dish. The main couse was pidgeon a local specialty. It was well prepared, the cuisson was good and flavour too. The dessert had the potential to be interesting granita ice of violettes, with a chocolate cream. The tastes of both elements was good, but unfortunately the texture of the shaved ice, and chocolate cream did not mix well at all. Overall a somewhat disappointing experience, after having read the raving reviews on tripadvisor. We might come back on a quieter day to try the a la carte menu."
