"We were staying in the hotel above the restaurant and wanted somewhere on our first night in Salins that was good quality without any stuffyness. We picked right. The waitress was cheerful and friendly without being in the least pushy and overbearing. The food was...cooked to perfection. I had stuffed mushrooms to start and was in seventh heaven. The rest of the meal followed on in the same vein. DON'T go if you are in a hurry. This is a place to experience great food and service. Being Brits (well only in part. My Mum was born in Salins) we were early in the evening and were not rushed at all. By the time we left there were quite a few people in there. Mostly couples and some of those were obviously there for the romantic atmosphere. Absolutely splendid!"

le petit blanc is a beautiful local restaurant near the center and serves good average dining in the old historical environment. we were a group of 20 who had booked in advance and everything worked perfectly.

sat with friends and so glad that we were booked at the place was packed. the actual restaurant has a wonderful arched ceiling. the personal was incredibly efficient, pleasant and smiling, despite the fact that they don't save a second. there was a...fixed menu, but they were happy to mix and fit to meet our needs. the food was perfect. great place.
