"This is a restaurant like many in the Provence: fantastic setting but somewhat uninspired kitchen. The terrace is absolutely lovely with lots of shade and many pets wandering about. The staff is great as well, very friendly and welcoming. The food is typical Provencale: well...prepared, simple, tasteful but rather small proportioned when you choose only a main dish. Menu's are better value but then you commit to 3-4 courses which might not always be what you want. This restaurant has a menu which can be found in each village in the Provence. We had tasty large shrimps but it was only accompanied by a large portion of rice and a very simple salad. Not sauce with the rice. Quite unimaginative, but that it the case for 80% of the restaurants in this area. I hope that this will change in the near future. This restaurant has that potential and we hope it dares to step outside its comfort zone and it will develop its own identity."

View menu

we ate at this small and nice restaurant, the day was perfect and sitting outside was a must. The personnel was very nice and the food was really good. It is french cusine very well done. We had the chance to taste also the dessert...and it was good as well. There is a good value if you take the menu, we were just too tired to have a 3 dishes menu so we went for a Lamb confit and Ravioli.

A bientôt.

View menu

Le Petite Jardin has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent staff that are always smiling and ready to greet you. This place is perfect after a long car drive passing through the town of Viens or after a hike through the luberon valley. Le Petite Jardin has...a wide range of meals from stuffed tripe (the lining of sheep stomach) to well cooked steak with a peeper sauce. Here you will embrace what it is like to live in a medieval town in Provence. At this restaurant the staff will always put you ahead of themselves, are prepared to have a laugh and will bring you your food in no time. At this restaurant you are the top priority.

Having rented a gite in this tiny village it was good to find that there was a bar/restaurant just two minutes away. The restaurant is entirely outdoors set in a pleasant yard, the only slight downside being the abundance of flys that were a persistent...nuisance. We shared a charcuterie platter to start, it was both very good and very large. The choice for mains is quite restricted but what they do serve up is very good. My wife had an excellent lamb shank and my entrecte was beautifully cooked, very tasty and tender. Throw in a bottle of sparkling wine at a very good price 18) and a very pleasant evening was had. After the meal we walked through to the adjoining bar for a final drink which...
