"Having already used the excellent internet booking site 'The Fork ' the previous week to book Chez l 'Ami Paul in the same village (booking made at 5pm for 6.30pm that evening), we deployed the site again to book Le Sansot. I received a confirmation from 'The...Fork ' at 2.30pm for a 7.30pm booking. My husband then received a phone call from the 'patron ' of Sansot to say the restaurant was full. I sent two emails to the restaurant to ask why the booking was being shown as honoured by The Fork yet not by the restaurant but received no reply. After a third email asking him for an explanation and saying that it would inform any review I wrote I received this: Hello I m very sorry but internet it is not a real professionnel way to make a reservation especially few hours before to come! we are very busy and a small place next time just call me 06 18 01 06 70 but I 'm not sure we are the kind of restaurant for your request.... It seems perverse in the extreme for a restaurant to sign up to an internet booking site and then tell a potential customer that this is not a real professionnel (sic) way to make a reservation . The sign off appeared to be one of those snide and rather boring asides interpretation you are not the sort of person to appreciate the sophistication of my wares . As I pointed out to him in my reply I wasn 't sure what kind of restaurant he was running but we had already been to the Colombe d 'Or, Chez l 'ami Paul and the utterly delightful Auberge de Tourettes (to which incidentally we are going to again as a party of seven in the next few days). I 've no idea what the food is like at Le Sansot and won 't be finding out but to treat potential customers so shoddily won 't cut it when economic times become lean."

Once a year it is 5 star time and wow it happened here. New staff create an even better experience than in the past. We went for lunch and left very happy indeed.

We celebrated a birthday with 13 friends it turned out to be the perfect choice. The Chef’s menu was delicious some began with creme Brûlée food gras they loved it; I had a fish tartare that was fantastic followed by veal ...the price was extremely reasonable, the wine list varied the service very good

The location of Le Sansot gives you a lovely view of the town, although the proximity next to the street is not perfect. The food was great....an unusual rice paper with crab and lobster starter, and the breast of young duckling in hiney sauce was...divine. Ring album etc reserve online is also a plus!!

excellent lunch, we had 2 different starters saucisson and goat cheese. both had bark meat for the main thing. 2 amouse bushes were also served. in particular the suppe was excellent. all the dishes had great taste, and the presentation was from this world. a great view. the village tourrettes was surpassed only by the quality of the food. extremely and best value, which we in france at €20 for starter and main. thank you.

we had 13 years a house in the village and visited le sansot mostly in the next season before and during the pandemic, if they could not even afford to heat up the space. this time, in the high season, they had overbooked their facility for a number of large groups. we had made our reservation in advance well, but all they could show us were two unilluminated tables in the interior (no ac,) temperature 30C/86F very much never do in the south france in summer. no apologies, no statements offered, simply take it or leave it. we left. when they book a table there, make sure that there is whan they have dressed and stand at the door.

le sansot on rte de rampe is a “not miss” restaurant in tourrettes sur loup among many other excellent choices, but this is only outside the village less than 1 km. therefore with a spectacular view of the beautiful old village. when it comes to eating, presentation and service, there is nothing else to say than the top 5 stars. they will be pampered with a small appetizer, with, after that a small dish supper “from this world” we could go there only for this, and then we did not even start our choice of lunch or dinner menu. we were there several times and were not disappointed so far! it's a must try when they're in the opposite. bon appetit
