"We initially came here for a drink during the early afternoon, while the drinks, mojitos, were nicely made and tasted good, the service was incredibly slow, I am not one to complain but we almost felt ignored and the restaurant was not busy at all.We returned the next day thinking it may have been an off day, this time we came in the evening with the thought we would potentially have dinner here if the drink service had improved as the menu sounded delicious. Again, there were maybe three tables of people already with food and we opted for a couple of drinks while looking over the menu, I asked for a raspberry mojito, it had been 15 minutes waiting in a not busy restaurant until the waiter came back to tell me there was no raspberry, I then asked for a strawberry instead and it was another 15 minutes or so until our drinks (two people) arrived, we were just about to leave without the drinks due to the wait and left after deciding not to eat there due to he service. It was a shame as the food at nearby tables looked delicious, I would not return here as although the drinks were nice, I'd has drinks that tasted just as good at other locations."

Stooped by for lunch on Monday. Great service, great food. Play du jour was very good. A little more expensive but worth it.

Good local food and also outside dining close to Yacht Basin. It has been here a long time and we go often. It is consistent and good food and the owner is always there to keep an eye on things.

Had a fantastic lunch here! Given the quality atmosphere and ambiance we prepared ourselves for an expensive experience! Not so at all. It was exceptional value for a fantastic three course meal and great bottle of wine! Good (but slightly limited) choice for vegetarians. Really enjoyed the food and the service! Top tip; take the plat de jour and recommended wine.

We have been here quite a few times when we visit friends who have a boat moored opposite, this resturant is where most of the people who stay on there boats eat . Nice and relaxing just outside of the old city with a large outside and indoor eating area plenty of choice on the menu with a daily plat du jour for about 15 euros for 3 courses good for long lunches and evening meals . I have been to this restaurant many times and have yet to have a bad experience. The food is excellent and as a vegetarian the chef often sits down with me to ask what I can and can't eat so that even if it is not on the menu he will devise something for me.The staff are amazing. As well as being efficient they also perform magic tricks, tell jokes and generally make the whole evening fun.Brilliant.

My wife and i have a home above Le Transat . We and our family have been coming here for years and years. It is now an extraordinary restaurant and might well be the best in town. They have done an amazing job and any complaints just are not fair. I have been to Antibes 19 times and never had a dinner like we had tonight. If you want amazing food in a beautiful spot Le Transat will make you very happy.

Le Transat is located near the Antibes train station and the Port Vauban marina (port dates back to the Romans). Favorites were the pistou soup, tuna tartare, octopus salad, beef ravioli, grilled lamb, mixed seafood grill, beef entrecôte and codfish w/ aioli. Each dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. Nice sized portions. Great service. Bossa nova played softly in the background. The €30 3-course set menu is a fantastic deal. View menu

Well, forget everything from the old Transat! This is the new one. Ambiance is a chic one, or inspire to be one. Coquille St Jaques, nice, but without much finesse. Duck with wok veggies, nice piece of meat, but was it special, probably not. Giving the current price level, not sure we reach a positive ratio. We will miss the ambiance and the good food in the old Transat. Good luck with the new concept, I will give it a go a few more times, but was not convinced so far.

A nice little spot near the marina and dry dock, which is what took us that way as my friend is having his yacht refurbished...Not much of an outlook as in a courtyard, looked nice enough and we had a quick lunch, well, what we hoped would be due to meetings etc.The food, when it arrived, was very nice. Calamari in a light batter to start, Sole Meuniere as a main for some, and a langoustine pasta dish for others. The food was spot on, the service a little hazy, and the wait for food way too long for a lunch spot.if you have time, and are not too hungry then give it a go, the shellfish sauce over the pasta was quite something

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
