Le Valmy - Menu

We popped in because it wasn't a "chain" looking type of restaurant. Had two very nice steaks. 2 carafes of wine. Great vibe. Very busy when we visited late November 2015.

We had an evening meal here. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. Lots of locals here too, which is always a great sign. Strongly recommended!

On the recommendarion of my Airbnb host, I stopped by here on my first afternoon in Paris. The steak was fabulous, cooked medium rare as per request, and the viogner was also delicious! I had a table outside, which was a lovely space to watch life in the 10th go by. View menu

After a sunday morning walk along the Canal St Martin, we stopped at this restaurant before heading back home. Although we were 8 at our table, with 7 different dishes ordered, service was quick, and everyone enjoyed his lunch, accompanied by good Belgian beer at reasonable prices.

Beautiful location looking right out on the canal, perfect to sit and watch the world go by. We were brought in by seeing some amazing looking burgers, which is exactly what they were, and the staff were very helpful and happy to explain their daily menu in English for us, as well as recommend some great wine. Perfect experience!

We were walking along the Canal St. Martin which someone told us was a great place to experience Paris as the locals do and we came upon this little Bistro. It was extremely busy but they were prepared for the young professionals who come here regularly and service was quick and outstanding. I highly recommend the Confit de Canard (duck) and the Filet of Porc (pork). At 10 euros each these were a monumental difference from touristy areas. A lovely neighbourhood too. View menu

We intended to go in here on Sunday night but it was very busy so decided to return on Tuesday. What a brilliant find! Clearly a very popular place with the locals, and a very cool atmosphere. I had the quinoa risotto with scallops and prawns - juicy seafood cooked to perfection. The others had the fillet steak and chips which my Mum says is her best meal of the trip, and my sister the pork with chorizo and sweet potato mash - also delicious. Lovely place to people watch.

We were on rainy Saturday afternoon passing this place, never heard of it before and it seemed full house but we took a change and voila! they had a table for us, only free table at this time (it was around three o`clock).Very nice and friendly stuff, although we had to wait our change about 10-15 minutes...that wasn´t really nice...but the food is brilliant, I had bouf bourgignoun and creamy chocolate cake. My husband took sausage with cheesy and creamy mashed potatoes, this was also very good choice, for dessert he took ice cream, it was superb!!! I really enjoyed that restaurant and I will go back there any time! ;)

We were looking for somewhere close to our rented apartment for a breakfast coffee and some juice. We walked over to the other side of the canal and thought that we'd try out Le Valmy. Let's just say that we were not welcomed with open arms by the waitress. She was quite busy rearranging the furniture before the day really got into fully swing. But she found the time to take our orders of drinks and bring them when prepared. The kids in our party liked the fact that their orange juice had been freshly squeezed.To avoid disturbing the waitress further we decided against trying to order any breakfast so I paid a friendly enough man at the bar & we left.
