Vaudémont - Menu

Atmosphere was pleasant enough and service was okay. Food was mediocre (steak brochette was a bit tough even though it was not over cooked, and chicken brochette was dry; Quiche Lorraine and salad was just okay).

Service was very friendly and since we don't speak french, they really tried to help is in english. I had a menu for dinner the first time and this was good. The second time we had the special burger for lunch and it was excellent.

Le Vaudemont offers nice outside seating in the shade. It's location is just a couple of hundred meters from the place Stanislas. My gazpacho was very nice and so was the Saint Pierre fish. My wife was happy with her foie gras pâté and goat cheese salad. View menu

Kitchen was behind. All tables waited at least an hour after placing order. We nearly ate the table we were so hungry. Waiter forgot to bring our wine too until we had to remind him. Our dessert was comped so it made up for it but doubt we would go back.

Dropped in after work mid week, burger would be fine. It was superb, proper bread not that barely there Brioche, proper steak (minced). Salad, fries. Tourist place for sure near Stanislas Square but excellent service and quant inside, couples or business you'll have enjoy. Highly recommended.

We stopped here having just visited the square after a day of meetings - the food was fabulous, the service (and advice what to choose) was really good and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go back, just don't go unless you're ready to want a three course meal, you won't be able to resist! View menu

This place has an ideal location. Candlelight dinner amidst a buzzing square. Service was friendly but a little slow (busy place). However, the food was disappointing. An overcooked steak and a bland crab salad. I wonder if they even have a professional chef. Go there for the ambience if you don't mind mediocre food.

This was a great find very close to Place Stanislas with just lovely ambience and quick service. It was very busy but didn't seem to affect the service. I ordered quiche and salad and my husband had a burger. Both meals were very good and along with a couple of beer the price was 30 Euros - very reasonable for France. We were seated outside next to the cafe on an unexpectably hot 30 degree day in September so it was pretty warm, whereas the outdoor seating on the opposite side of the little road looked much cooler.

My husband and I holidayed in Nancy in August this year, and one a very stormy night we went out in search of dinner. This restaurant is located very close to the main square and in good weather would be a very interesting people watching spot. As most of the storm had passed (and we were soaking wet) we sat outside, which was quieter than the very crowded and interior of this restaurant.The food was reasonable and the service was good.
