"My wife and i and a group of friends stumbled across this place whilst looking for something to eat for the evening, thought we would give it a try, found out it was a big mistake. Firstly there were ferrel cats walking around the outdoor restaurant area, not what one wants to see in a restaurant. After being given some menus we ordered drinks first which arrived promptly, that was probably the highlight of the meal. I ordered a steak with a wine sauce, salad and pommes frites, what i actually got was a steak seeping blood, covered in fat and practically indegestable, a salad that consisted of 6 leattuce leaves, i leaf of celeriac and 2 slices of tomato, the pommes frites were a handfull of frozen chips cooked in a fryer. Call me picky but for 16 euros even though it is cheap i expected much better, one of my dining colleagues orderd Salmon and got Entrecote steak and like me he had to leave a lot of it. The waitress said they give any waste food to the cats, so we have an eating establishment encouraging the presence of Ferral cats by feeding them. In conclusion a very disapointing experience and i would strongly advise people avoid this place at all costs."

Nice place to eat out in the summer. One of the statue of Cyrano is in this square and you get a good view of the old church.

Stopped here for lunch while strolling through the old town Bergerac. Outdoor in a small square surrounded by very old buildings including a beautiful church. Very good menu choices at value for money prices. Service friendly, good, efficient. Recommend.

We were served by a female who was rude, rushed and indifferent - think she would benefit from a career move. The food was mediocre to be kind. On the plus side if you like beer it was cheap. If you want cheap and average food then this is the place for you. Only when we went to pay were we informed they could only take cash - think there may have been a small sign to this affect however we only saw it when we left. We will not be back and will need to chose more carefully in future

there are lots of restaurants in Bergerac for the tourists but most seemed to closing when we arrived at 2pm so we had only the choice of the most tourist ones right by the statue of Bergerac.I had a chicken salad which was covered in salad cream and contained what tasted and looked like process chicken. The main of tomato and basil pasta was very basic, not much sauce and overcooked pasta so very disappointing but we had to eat something and the rain was pouring down. Service was good though.

We visited during a trip to Bergerac. We had eaten at the pizzeria the week before but this was closed. We had our two year old grandson in tow so did not want to go for a full meal. We had a mix of meals - goats cheese salad, pasta and a childrens plate of chicken and chips. Nice light lunch food - not spectacular but fresh and just the right size for a light lunch. The children's menu also had a choice of ice cream - which conveniently came in a cone which meant we could walk away with the now impatient grandson.

We had steak and chips and omelette and on the menu it said 'served with salad'. There seems to be an issue as salad is not just a huge pile of lettuce leaves and a tomato which is what is served when it says salad. I am not the only reviewer to mention this. However the steaks were okay and the omelette was very good! Yes there are feral cats wandering around, but that didn't bother us. It was a nice central place and in the sunshine it made for a nice lunch. The owner seemed very nice and the staff friendly. It is what it is! A place that caters for tourists.

We stopped for a lunch as it seemed quite busy. We opted for the course menu for euros each. Starter was a salad that was just a huge bunch of leaves with no dressing or anything. Something you might feed a rabbit with....Didnt touch it. Main course was either pizza or steak with fries. Steak was hard as wood and the pizza was absolutely the most disgusting ever. Frozen one is times better. Dessert was crepes which were as stiff as the plate itself. When we complained the server said something in french, very irritated, then disappeared. Stay away from places like this.

Late October, sunny day, great opportunity to eat a light lunch in the sunshine BUT we were not alone in thinking this and the chef man and his two young lady servers were clearly overwhelmed by the demand! Slow very slow very very slow.....Sadly...one of our omelettes was incorrect, the other two were not cooked enough, watery from the chunky mushrooms and cheese still in its grated form in the centre and chilly too! The galette was ok. The fries were good and hot. The green salads were smothered in dressing. We challenged the bill and they didn’t charge for one omelette. Quite right Stop taking food orders or explain to folks about delay. Don’t rush the cooking time, serve the food corre...
