"We visited Angouleme as a family and were attracted by the looks of the restaurant and the massive pizza oven. Staff was OK, but dishes average. The risotto was overcooked and had too much sauce, but the kids enjoyed the pasta with jambon, and my wife the ravioli special. For desserts again not impressed with the Tiramisu, as it seems to have a lot of whipped cream. Wine was a nice Nero d'Avola from Sicily. Overall, with the nice setting and relaxed music it has potential, and maybe the pizzas are doing the trick, but unfortunately they weren't available due to some issues with the oven."

While passing through Angoulême for work, we arrived at this restaurant by chance. It was great from start to finish. The value for money is rarely this good. I recommend. View menu

whether it was pizza, chicken salad or ricotta and lemon ravioli, everything was remarkably good. both products and sanitation were excellent. It should also be noted that oils and accompanying spices are carefully chosen. The service is cordial. We had dinner tonight with great pleasure.

as often in tanks, the rather ordinary exterior does not reflect the quality of the interior! a pleasant, warm but trendy setting for this restaurant frequented by a young clientele. the reception is pleasant, the fast service, the Italian cuisine really tasty. good enough value quality price, go ahead! Already arrived at the beginning of its opening dish always impeccable, small downside victim of its success the weekends are full and the noise of the customers can be disturbing for dinner or even unpleasant by dint of shouting to converse as a couple or to the waiter (se). I think we need to rethink the acoustics of the room or limit the number of tables or groups the places in the state have not adapted.

we have rather eaten well but the pasta is less tasteful to my taste than the other Italian not very far by the side. especially what I find disappointing is that there are no menus in the evening... so the note is very salty... an average dish at 18/24 euros! salads at 15 euros on average, the same for desserts and the rest that are expensive.. an aperitif, an entrance, a dish, a dessert has wanted a note not far from 90 euros for two people... I'm not coming back for these reasons.

"I had not intended eating out as I had had a decent and large picnic. It was the weekend of the Circuit des Remparts so every where was packed. The 'Bistroc' was equally busy but I saw rognons de veau on the menu ('Carte') so I asked if they could serve me. They said there would be a long delay but I could sit at the bar and have a drink if I didn't mind waiting. As I had time on my hands I was quite content to sit with a beer reading a book. Eventually after half an hour i was approached by one of the two (I presume ) owners and asked if I had ordered. I said not and he proclaimed himself 'desolee' taking my order. 10 or 15 minutes later I was presented with a magnificent steak - I think a cote de beouf - which I would have readily tucked into. Sadly not what I had ordered. More apologies and eventually the rognons de veau arrived. Nicely cooked, no sauce but good 'frites' and salad. I completed the meal with cafe gourmand, not spectacular but perfectly acceptable. When the bill arived they did not charge me for either my beer or the wine with my meal - quite unnecessary but hey insisted. This place is an old fashioned grill with great atmosphere - aided or hindered by two children of one or both of the patron(ne)s who raced around the place chasing each other and flirting with custommers. High quality food unpretentiously cooked. although I concede not cheap.Despite being rushed off their feet the two front of house staff I assume, the owners made every possible effort to make the cusommmers welcome.A very enjoyable evening."
