"Ordered 2 children's meal's which came a lot sooner than all the adult meals. We had already astablished that the chips were not cooked in fish oil beforehand It became apparent that 1 of the child's meal was fish instead of chicken...we told them of this,they did offer to change but the child declined as they'd nearly finished most of the other food on plate and they were embarrassed (it wasn't until her Mum asked that we discovered it was fish) I pointed out to waiter it could have been dangerous as you were already aware of the fish allergy in the party When the adult meals arrived we thought that we'd ordered children's meal in error given the size of them,not very hot to be fair considering how long we had waited but we didn't say anything(all same food) as we just couldn't be bothered with another complaint We had to tell the server twice what we were drinking on arrival and still one drink did not come as requested but couldn't be bothered to wait to have it changed I have to say they did take price of said child's meal off bill. We decided not to have desert and left still hungry and half the party are not even big eaters. Won't be returning No pictures as not worthy of pictures Dietary restrictions: Asked if chips were cooked in fish oil so obviously there was an allergy in the party but still a member of party was served fish instead of chicken. "The Sicilian is a handy, family-run restaurant in the seaside town of Deal (Kent) offering delicious food, cheaper eats, from snacks to meals, and some of the best and reasonably priced wine in town. Located just off the High Street, the Restaurant is small (bijou), with additional seating outside for your morning coffee or one of their home-made ices. I dine here once a month, for lunch with friends. We usually each opt for the simple range of Panini to Antipasti Pasta and (collectively) a bottle of their local (Sicilian) wine. Time permitting (priorities) perhaps we’d start with a shared plate of ‘antipasto misto’, cured meats or cheeses, not to forget ‘pane e olive’, a trusted and fine accompaniment to the wine. I have always felt that the judge of a good restaurant is the soup, and have never been disappointed, but various pastas are on offer, the ‘Cannelloni Ricotta a Spinaci’ delighted my friend, the ‘Lasagne’ was among the best I have ever sampled. The baked aubergine with tomato and mozzarella ‘Parmigiana’ is another favourite. There is also a selection of pizza to suite many diverse tastes. Although we have often commented on the lovely deserts and pastries on display, we have yet to take the plunge, but ‘watch this space’ The service is friendly, we feel at home, loving the mix of authentic tastes. At the weekend The Sicilian offers evening dining, the ‘specials’ board giving an extended view of this cuisine from southern Italy."

"Booked an early curry (7.30pm) for myself and 2 friends. Restaurant decoration was good. Ambience was peaceful and not too noisy. We had poppadoms and a couple of drinks as starters and then had a main course each with three side dishes and a keema naan to share between us. The food was good and service was reasonably prompt. We enjoyed the evening and the food was good value and not overly expensive. The only negative part of the experience was the rather stern manner of one of the staff which didn't feel particularly welcoming. Having said that, everyone was perfectly polite and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again. The central location made it very accessible and easy to reach."

"If you are looking for a pub near Kingsdown beach, one that serves great food, by friendly staff, then this is the place for you. I booked a table for two for a couple of my guests that were celebrating their wedding anniversary. It was a short notice booking. From the moment the phone was answered, I knew it had been the right decision. Such welcoming staff and great food. The chef, Jake, cooked amazing homemade burgers and also scampi. Cooked to perfection. My guests couldn't speak highly enough. The service, by Mia, was friendly and welcoming. She made sure they were greeted warmly and congratulated them on their anniversary. I cannot fault anything. With gardens outside and a lovely English pub atmosphere, this place caters for families and large parties, as well as couples just stopping for a drink. Highly recommended! "We hadn't dined at this restaurant since COVID, but we returned with our family for Sunday lunch. The service and food were outstanding, with a great selection on the menu, generous portions, and reasonable prices. We were pleased to have found a new favorite spot to eat, especially after many local establishments have closed recently. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning."
