"We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. As we were visiting Los Canos de Meca off season we were pleased to find this gem open. It's humble exterior belied the well finished menu. We sat on the terrace at the front and were greeted by...a very pleasant waiter who was engaging and friendly without being intrusive. He explained the off menu specials which we declined perhaps a mistake in retrospect. I say this only because the quality of the food we ordered was so high, I expect the specials would probably have been sensational. Here's what we did order : Gambon especially Al Atillo perfectly tender shrimp sizzling in a sea of butter and garlic. Bacalou en Tempura crispy tempura battered cod pieces as soft and flakey as you could hope for with a swipe of sweet chilli. Presa a Pera soft slices of Iberica pork with little cubes of pear and caramelised onions. All three dishes were extremely good, if the cod a little salty. The portions were substantial which justified the slightly higher than expected prices. In fairness our concerns that the prices were a little (seriously not of great concern) more than we had wanted to pay for lunch were before we ate. All those concerns quickly disappeared! The dessert of Creme Brullee was not so much a disappointment but unexpected. Not really a Brullee but an ice cream. Delicious all the same. Would definitely recommend."

We went here for dinner as we were sleeping at Los Pinos Hostal, so it was the obvious choice. The pizza was ok, service good, it was quick as well, big size. Price was for each.

Travelling with a vegetarian in Spain is tough. This place came to our rescue with a good selection of pizzas and salads , quick service friendly staff and cheap as chips. What more do you want ? We only ate here at lunchtime and did...not stay at the hostal

our first night on the camping site where the restaurant had not opened until the usual so a look on the road and found this over the road, seemed to be very welcoming all day and ended with local fresh fish and grilled veg all beautiful...done worth a visit though not what I was a cheap but food reflected price.

we ate in los pinos three times in our vacation this year and had three great meals. the homemade pizzas are excellently thin, crispy and a large selection of toppings. the restaurant is family run and they are all friendly and helpful. in the night when we had no pizza, we shared a mixed salad for a starter that was beautiful and fresh. my thunfish main course was delicious and perfectly cooked. the fino sherry I had there was the smoothest I had in the region jerez. the prices are also reasonable, what is not to like? We ate here on a Thursday evening during the quiet season. We were staying on the campsite opposite. The waitress was very friendly and spoke a little English. We were given olives, bread and breadsticks to nibble whilst we waited for our food to be...cooked. My husband had the pigs cheek stew which was tender and delicious. I had the entrecôte steak and asked for it rare. It came just as I like it a huge thick piece of rare beef, too much for me, so we shared it. It was served with some chargrilled veg and fried potatoes. It was all delicious. We were shown a dessert menu but they were all bought in desserts and we were full anyway so we didn’t order a dessert. It was good value with pleasa...

Located close to camping location on a main road. Dining room spartan but big seating area outside. Shrimp/gamba appetizer was served but with cold sauce. Whole plate was reheated and then the gambas were overcooked. Husband found the octopus very good, with various colorful and...tasteful sauces. Grilled fish was good but not great. It was served with a small half of a potato with a dollop of sour cream or similar and a few overcooked veggies. Bread was what seems to be common in the area, a roll and not so fresh. Was served a different tap beer after having a different bottled beer. That shouldn't have happened. This was the or restaurant we visited and the others were quite a bit better....

"I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. It’s fine dining, prices are very high, ambiance is to the level. Staff could be more courteous, some were really nice, some were not. You can’t deny the food is high quality, but it’s not as impressive as I’d have wished. The best part about it is that you get to learn about Tuna and that they serve parts of it that aren’t found in most restaurants. However, what should have been the star of the night, tuna alla sal, ended up being way to salty for me. I was literally feeling my hands go numb from overdoing in salt. However, the people I was sharing it with didn’t have such a strong reaction to it. It might be that I got a piece of the tuna that had most of the salt. In any case, the server should have shaved off the salt better before giving it to us. It’s a pity, I’m sure that it could have been amazing if it wasn’t for the overbearing salt. I’m pretty sure there are great dishes in the menu that we just didn’t order, so maybe my experience was a very particular one. As for the desert, it was not in the level of fine dining. I wish I had gone to a different restaurant on my visit to Zahara de los Atunes, but I think that’s mostly because I felt this was too expensive to leave with mixed feelings. Unless I got a table by the window. That’d probably have made it all worth it."
