Probably the best pub in the area. Quality food and an eclectic, interesting mix of beers. The theme is brilliantly dark they used to come here to watch the hangings apparently!

We absolutely loved this pub! The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere had a lively yet not overwhelming vibe. Despite our late arrival, the staff were incredibly courteous and took great care of us. We're looking forward to returning, thanks to Team X!

Decent City centre pub. Good selection of ales, which tends to rotate. Wide selection of spirits too. Bar is atmospheric considering its really a modern building, and the outdoor area makes the most of where it is. On the pricey side, but it is reasonable for the location.

went to the Magpie Stump last thursday to meet friends who work in the Smithfield area and they recommended the pub. Very impressed with the look and style of the pub. The beer and wine and cocktail selection was very good with some of my favourite ales (Ghost Ship, and Directors). The food we had (lamb chop, chips and port gravy, burgers, and fresh scampi, chips and lemon and lime mayo) was excellent so a big thums up all round i have to say ! View menu
