"I have been in different Maredos and until now I was pretty happy about the price/quality relationship but today I was really disappointed. They have a sign asking to wait until you will be seated by the staff, what could be nice. But I needed to wait more than three minutes to be acknowledged and then she told me: Please have a seat wherever you wish . The service was friendly (even if the older lady was less friendly than the younger one) but really slow. So long time to get the menu then again long time to take the order (even if the restaurant was pretty empty). I took the burger and I really regretted it: a McDonald 's burger is better than this one. A small beef patty (with no taste of beef even if medium), just one leaf of salad and one slice of tomato with French fries on the side together with ketchup und mayo in small bags. Really a bad presentation. Also for paying the bill delayed service. For sure my last visit"

The place was so busy but we found a table, The service was ok but a little bit slow. I asked for a beef burger medium with cheese, I receive it more than well done (is not eatable) without cheese. The creme brulee is not...fresh. View menu

Why it has to be a steak house, when there are plenty of other nice things to try. First of all salad a hundred ways. This is the best buffet I've seen in the last few years. Everything is fresh and varied. The main course,avoid...potatoes. You have enough of it and you only order the meat.

Good meat. its what you expect a ta steakhouse. Cooked nicely as requested. Side dish options are good. Drink well made. Great location. Friendly fast service. My only comment is our servicer must have just had a cigarette. Every time she was at our table, she...smelled heavy of cigarette smoke. She was a god service attentive and helpful with questions about cologne. Otherwise, a good meal!!

Ten of us booked last Saturday whilst we were waiting at the door to be seated (we could see our table was ready) people were pushing past us to get to the door and the manager was letting them and others in from behind...us and then excusing herself by saying they had arrived first! She was so rude and when we were finally allowed in she gestured to our table and walked in the opposite direction. The food was quite good but the waiter service and attitude of the staff appalling. I simply did not have a chance to wander around the city and explore so when my companion for the afternoon gushed over the chocolate lava cake, we stepped in to Maredo immediately. I was pleasantly surprised to find vegetarian options (it is a steakhouse! and the lava cake was indeed lovely. I am not such a huge fan of their decor but, it was good food and a relatively nice environment! Our host waiter was wonderful. (I get a little New York impatient and he worked with me just fine!

We just got in from Zurich and were starving. It looked like a promising steak restaurant. We were not disappointed with the quality of the ribeye. The 400 gram cut was flavorful and cooked to my requested medium rare as it came out on a heated stone. The sides (mushrooms, spinach, french fries and corn) were all delicious. Chimichurri sauce was very good. Service was a little slow that night but they were very nice. Only reason this is not getting 4 or 5 stars is because it isn't to the par of a Las Vegas steakhouse, but still good food for a good price!

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
