Mayflower Chinese - Menu

We had dinner here because it was one of the few places open. It was the best Chinese I’ve had in a while. Just incredible. The portions are huge and the flavours are wonderful. The place was full and the attention was good.

The service was lacking and all the food was extremely greasy. As someone who appreciates authentic Chinese cuisine, I will not be returning to this restaurant. Additionally, the prices were too high for the quality of food.

As a Chinese family, we were looking for a good place to have some traditional Cantonese food. This was a great choice everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We especially enjoyed the roast duck so much that we ordered a whole one to take away. View menu

Visited here last week for a Chinese meal. On arrival I was shown to a table and given complimentary prawn crackers. I ordered chicken curry with boiled rice and chips, all of which tasted great and decent sized portions. I left feeling very full and would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Bristol.

twice boiled pork absolutely amazing, fried fish fresh and bundled by others very delicious I would not go over all as I have tried so many). there are some dishes that they do not like because of the preparation, seasoned and taste. I like most of the pages and don't suppen, but they will generally not be disappointed. you have to try to bundle and decide what you really like.

We hadn’t been for a while, and my goodness I had forgotten how special the food is. Authentic, delicious. We over ordered as we always do. The mouthwatering chicken, salt and pepper soft shell crab, and beef ho fun were my standouts this time. Don’t think we’ve ever had an identical order when we’ve been here though, as the more away from typical UK Chinese offerings you go the better. a bristol gemstone! whether they want the usual favorites or the more authentic dishes, the quality of eating is exceptionally high. we always discover something new on recommendation from the waiter. large portions, ideal for sharing. a casual restaurant in hidden location. great atmosphere and always a tasty and certainly one of our favorite restaurants in bristol. current favorite base on the recent visit are the salt and chilli soft shell crab, twice boiled pork, three roses. choy sum with garlic and pei par (prawn stuffed) tofu but also many more!

We couldn't find our reservation, so we were seated upstairs in a less desirable area. The air conditioning was on, making it drafty. However, the shared starter was delicious. Unfortunately, one of our meals was incorrect and took a long time to be corrected. By the time the dish was fixed, the rest of our party had almost finished their meals and the rice was cold. The dish itself was also not very warm. Despite being told it was safe to eat, it is common knowledge that dishes should be properly reheated. When we asked the waitress to remove the service charge, she seemed indignant. Luckily, the management intervened and removed the service charge as well as the price of the incorrect dish...

Updated review following a new experience at Mayflower. My family have visited several times previously, and after good experiences, we visited tonight for a birthday, for the first time in a while. No one had written down our booking, so they weren't expecting us. They promised to squeeze us in and put us upstairs. It was extremely cold under the air con, but we made do. We had the mixed starter, which was very good. The mains came out slowly, and one of them was incorrect. They did take it back and replace it with what we ordered, but it was cold.
