Meson El Monasterio

Fuimos de brunch. Los platos no son muy grandes, pero quedas satisfecho. Tardaron bastante en servirnos el desayuno. Se puede gozar de buenas vistas en terraza y salón cubierto.

Me casé en este hermoso sitio hace quince años. El fin de semana pasado celebramos los 75 años de mis suegros con una super merienda y una tarta del Rancho Grande, todo hermoso... El sitio, el entorno, los animales, la comida riquísima... Si vais por el norte lo recomiendo

Fuimos con Grupon. La comida exquisita. Pedimos una ensalada templada del mar, súper abundante y todos los ingredientes muy buenos. De segundo hemos pedido una lubina a la sal...qué buena!!. Un diez a Begoña la cocinera. La atención tanto de Federico como de Fran, fue muy profesional.

We visited the place on a Sunday, which we should never have done. It was so busy and the staff was stressed out they were busy yelling at each other. Not caring about the customers at all!! We waited 1.5 hours for the dished. They got the order completely wrong, but the most disappointing was that the steaks we ordered medium rare was served well done. They completely destroyed the meal. It was horrible and I will never come back.

complete disappointment. We returned a year later. A beautiful place and that’s it. Homemade bread used to be cut by hand and it was magical. The salads looked like mountains of green lard covered with cucumber and a little tomato. The rabbit looked deplorable 4 pieces of ribs (only bones), no meat was served that way, and the fillet is very dry. The padron pepper is a small plate, you can study it under a microscope. There were 8 of us and everyone said it was bad.

My wife, my son and I were at Meson el Monasterio on Oct. 27th and we liked the food. Good service from a friendly and competent young waiter. Today, Nov. 1st, 2023, we went again and today's waiter was unfriendly, brought all the wrong stuff (f.i. a salad with Avocado but without Avocado, the wrong side dishes, still water instead of sparkling, potatoes instead of fries, ..... and in the end we found a bottle of red wine on our bill instead of the glass of white wine my wife had. On purpose?? If you hate tourists/guests, why do you work in a restaurant?

Very authentic and unique place. You have to book the table in advance because it’s constantly fully booked. Interior and design is breathtaking. It’s took me a while to go around and to see all the places. You can find any type place to meet for any occasion, starting from very romantic up to big wedding separate venue. Restaurant decided into sections:fish, steak and some other for the food lovers. Food and variety is over expectations, but I want to hug king their superb service. All staff members are so attentive, friendly and professional that it makes you feel special. The place us No 1 to visit in Tenerife, no doubt.

We used to love this Restaurant but now it has gone downhill, what a lovely setting and dined here many time before, the last time we were there it was very disappointing but we thought we would give it another try today, the food is terrible we had a mix meat grill €25.5 two thirds of the plate was cheap frozen fries and oven potatoes, the meat was terrible even with a steak knife you couldn’t cut it, they now fill it with a big pork rib a grisly pork chop etc,previous to covid it was great quality products but not now, you used to have to wait on a table but now there are more waiters than customers which tells you something, I’m sorry to have to write this review and I’m hoping some sort...

Having visited many times with family and friends over the last 30 years this was by far the worst experience we've had here. Everything from the service to the quality of the produce and the dishes that were served to us was well below the standard we have had here many times before. We were told well after ordering 2 chicken there was none left and not even another menu to reselect from. The pork chop was almost raw and mostly inedible fat as was the oven cooked pork. The veg was awful and potatoes weren't the usual delicious crispy ones we've come to expect. We felt ignored most of the time and waited almost an hour for our food without explanation or apology.
