"Over the past 20 years, we have gone to Mister Wong in the Center of Basel about 10-15 times and liked the freshness and the quality of the food. Now, in the new place in Gerbergasse, food is prepared in an way just like at Macdonald 's or any of these horrible Burger places. It is a tragedy, because previously, perhaps when at Steinen , the food outlet used to be staffed with very kind Thai ladies who were great cooks and, therefore, prepared individually designed delicious dishes. Now, they just heat the wok, get a few little portions from the deep freezer and heat their contents. There is no individual preparation. However, as opposed to Macdonald 's, food is served on plates that are washed; a plus. The Bahmi Goreng was okay but not more, probably identical at all other Mister Wong restaurants. The noodle soup with chicken was incredibly over-salted. I wonder if that was an accident (or, worse, should stimulate consumption of the overpriced drinks)."

The place is nice but I personally would have loved to have more choices. For example basmati rice with curry and prawns ;

The Food is acceptable and cheap for this area however some dishes are not cooked on the spot. Also, very nice interior design!

Great choice of curries from a self-service buffet, the small portion is plenty, great taste, excellent value for a quick lunch.

I ordered phat thai and it's unbelievable...let alone the quantity for the price...really disappointing. My advice is don't order it from them

A dish type nasi goreng is sufficient to fill a good appetite...and not empty a French currency door...a large bottle of water and 2 dishes make about 32€.

Basic, mainstream asian fast food. The rice is a bit al dente, and Thai paste is more sweet than spicy. It’s fine, but not very authentic. It’s on the same level as an airport food court. I got 1 eggroll, 1 fried shrimp, 1 satay chicken stick, 1 chicken fried rice bowl 27€ (Quality level is more like 8-10€

Am Barfi Bad service 0 stars!!! Woman at the counter was stressed and yelled loudly at me. I told her twice to please cook vegetables until soft. Vegi Shoopsui, all the vegetables were very hard and raw and I brought them back to her. I had to wait a total of 45 minutes because she cooked for other guests first. I asked where my dish was. She screamed loudly at me to wait. I've probably been waiting for an hour. She insulted me in Thai language.

in basel there are several restaurants in the Wong chain, but this in the gerbergasse is the most cozy local of all. on 2 days one has the opportunity to eat the delicious asia dishes, but also outside in the pedestrian zone it is cozy to sit. the food tastes delicious, there are rice dishes with chicken, pork or bark meat, finished "fried rice", but also the typical spring rolls. it goes quite fast and the portions are plentiful.The eating one gets at the counter, then pays, service there is no.

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
