"A Lübeck visit without visiting the Café Niederegger is not possible, even if this is an absolute tourist hotspot. Apart from that, we had a shopping list, and several Daheimgebliebene wanted to give away at Christmas Lübecker Marzipan. And there's only a huge selection here. Thanks to Corona neither shop nor the café on the 1st floor were overflowing. No crowds, no bumps and pushes, as can be read in many reviews, relaxed shopping and even more relaxed café visits were announced. Here again precise checking of the vaccination and identification papers at the end of the stairs, in front of the café. There were actually some free tables where we could choose. The serviceman said at a later point in time that it was not really exhausted this afternoon, that it was used to quite different crowds of guests. Great, we were really lucky! We took place near the cake counter and looked around first: a cafe with large windows and a dense coffee house atmosphere and a beautiful view of the town hall when you have a window. Dear AndiH, you will probably see text passages over the cakes and pictures again, but I cannot save them to you! I was fascinated by the great offer on the ground floor. Above all, there are those who want to enjoy the cakes and cakes at home. Also here there are no mohren heads or Negerküsse anymore, here are the corresponding treats called Othello heads. And here in the café, of course, I went to the cake counter immediately. The selection of cakes was very large and one looked better than the next. Here you will be seduced to sin! So the selection was very difficult, I would like to try different cakes or cakes. I finally chose a piece of champagne cake for 3,80 €, as I had never tasted such one, and a coffee for 2,70 €. Yes, yes, proud prices! My friend, an absolute Marzipan fan, naturally chose something with a lot of marzipan (3,80 € , which would be a too dry cake for me, plus a milk coffee for 4,00 €. Flott and friendly was our service lady, she quickly brought the wish to us, wished us a lot of fun at the pie enjoyment and then we had both, my friend especially by the many marzipan. She was thrilled! Also my champagne cakes was a pleasure, very sweet and creamy, very rich in calories (Thanks to my hips God is nothing, very saturating, just heavenly! Too bad you can only eat a piece of this kind of cake. We didn't have to wait long for our bill too (I didn't find it at home unfortunately). Of course you pay a lot of money and of course you pay for the name. For us it was definitely worth a visit at that time. And then we were able to complete our shopping list without any pressure."

the whole tradition of the marzipan of lübeck in a place, apart from having a coffee with friends there, after a long walk, it is definitely worth it.

the cakes of this tourist place are spectacular. That's right, in busy days the tests are better on the floor below, because in the living room, they're very nasty.

lübeck became famous for making mazapan, but especially for its location on the edge of the sea to distribute it along the Baltic, which gave it international fame in what the people of lübeck know as a triumphal march of the mazapan all over the world. the truth is that my palate did not notice difference with the Spanish mazapan, but it is still worth visiting this cafeteria room to see the moeo de mazapan, where there are many real-size sculptures made with this sweet mass. There is more pleasant place to return. After remodeling, we visited the Café Niederegger for the first time with our Marzipantorten girlfriend S. for the first time we had... The market hall-like getaway in the basement we left behind us as soon as possible, although there are quite adorable marzipan artworks to admire. But as a born Lübeckerin, I have known her forever, so they only impress me peripherally. After all, we managed to fight in the upper floor and to take a quick look at the wonderful cake buffet, but then first had to re-enter due to lack of space and second because of the enormous noise level. The stairway down was hardly fit, so massively the crowd of people took up from be...

"short review: tasty, but small pizza, friendly service – and yet the evening did not run round! 3 stars with a lot of potential. it is Friday evening, best meal shortly after 19.30 clock, when we are in the la casa, an Italian restaurant in an old villa. sitting on only one of the 8 tables and as no service is to be seen, we sit on a table for two people and wait. and wait. time for a look in detail: slobby lighting, terracotta-colored walls, matching table runners, small tealights with flickering light on the tables, paintings (landscapes, still life, flowers near the walls, which are provided with price tags and offered for sale. then finally a very nice service appears that menus that have a lot to offer: antipasti, fish and meat, pizza and pasta, salad, desserts. the text is not as good as it can be seen, as first the lighting is weak and secondly the individual pages are stuck in labye clear envelopes, which unfortunately are all but clear. a decision is made quickly. I choose my body and magenta food, vegetarian pizza (9,50 € – here called pizza verdura – and in small pils (0,3 l to 2,70 €) and wait. in the meantime 40 minutes have passed since the pizza order, my dear hangs in the knees, I am impatient, the clock shows 20.30 and we are hungry! the guests who have appeared after us are now almost ready to eat while we are still waiting. how heart lut wants to stand up after need, the service appears, apologises with many beautiful words, they have overlooked the order form. After another 10 minutes we finally get our food. the pizza is a little small, but it is filled with fresh vegetables (brukkoli, paprika, wobbles, mushrooms, tomato). the floor is rough, there is nothing to complain. Finally we order espresso, very strong, very good at 2,50 € per piece. an eject of the order should certainly not happen, but can happen once. but if such a thing happens, it would be appropriate for me to offer an espresso or a grappa as a small repair, simply as a sign of apology, good will and generousness, especially because it was a time-intensive delay. the pizzas, although small, tasted good, the service was friendly, but that when entering the permanently empty restaurants went well for 5 minutes until an operation appeared on the picture surface, we felt as disturbing as the long wait for eating and then talking kinky. 3 stars, with ach and crow, more did not come together during this visit."
