"I came at 6.30 a.m. on Tuesday, aiming to study as I did before. I usually go there because there are more than other places left open and I like a table next to the windows, considering that there is no claustrophobic feeling. I didn't see anyone I had ordered for a while, I thought they had other customers to help and not be in a hurry, I didn't want to emphasize them, so I ordered after 30 min. Before I got my order, I was told to move to the back of the bar when I wanted to study because people could see me from the street. At first I did it, I did not realize the meaning of what it was told to me. I was led into the most hidden corner of the place, I was hidden from almost all sights. I started thinking what was wrong with me and with what I did to justify the fact that someone said that I moved from one table to another, but hidden? I confronted the person who led me to the new table, I don’t know if the owner, but certainly the highest at the moment, said that I was not treated like the other customers and I received as answers: “You can’t sit at any table you want “as in the whole bar, coffee spots and similar in Vienna, that’s exactly what everyone does, enters, seeking a free table and sitting. In restaurants, not in all, or in some places, people are sometimes leading to a table, but that is not the case. There were even many free tables, some were just like those I sat next to the windows. “See now the table is reserved” I said it wasn't reserved when I arrived. It literally means that you don't want people to see me in your place. “In the evening you cannot learn because I want to create a certain atmosphere” I was always studying at this place several times a day, in the evening. If it were so unacceptable to study me, it would have been better to put a sign the next day that explains that it was not possible to study at the tables after a certain hour instead of asking someone to go to the corner. (I said I did not get the same service as the other customers “You do not get the same service” I think the meaning was something like “the other customers drink their stuff, order their things and study them so their service is different.” What is the difference when I order and study or order something without studying? (in response to me to say: “You can’t treat customers like that” “yes, I can” “You can’t argue with me” “take or leave” When someone comes alone, takes a table and order is okay until he or she begins to study? So if someone comes order and stares at the roof, don't ruin the atmosphere? We were hungry after watching a musical show at the Volksoper theater nearby. We stopped by and ordered a bbq chicken sandwich, the today special. Very delicious. Service also good, friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely cafe with excellent small meals and luscious traditional Vienna pastries. Try the Nuss Ciabatta and the TopfenStrudel, which comes with warmed vanilla sauce. The outdoor patio is particularly comfortable, giving it a feeling of privacy in the city because of the trees and planters.

I love this place! We usually stop for a coffee or an eighth wine, but yesterday I ordered an avocado salad. It was so delicious. Masterpiece of creativity, all drinks are very well thought out. Every drink is different and unique. Whoever stood behind the menu was as classic as another level. Bar is beautifully designed and the atmosphere is great. Loved, a place you need to go when you visit Vienna and love good mixed drinks.
