"After visiting this restaurant on 2 prior occasions with our German friends we decided to visit last night by ourselves. We ordered the same meal as on the 2 prior visits black tiger gambas with chilli and spaghetti. The 2 prior times the meals were great with big whole gambas. This time they came all cut up not whole. We questioned why it was so different and the answer was the big boss from Essen had told the restaurant to not give such portion. If this is so it must be written on the menu pieces of gambas. The price was still the same. Also I asked for 1 glass of White House wine and was charged 10 euros. This was very disappointing and found the the excuse insulting."

I went for lunch and ate outside. The tables all have fresh flowers and the atmosphere was nice. My salad was good but maybe a little overpriced. I will go back.

Das Restaurant hat Charme. Die Bedienungen sind sehr nett, aufmerksam und wissen was sie empfehlen. Verstehen was vom Wein und kennen die Speisen genau. Das Essen ist exzellent. Einer der Besten Italiener den ich kenne.

Zu empfehlen ist das gegrillte Gemüse sowie Köstlichkeiten von der wechselnden Abendkarte. Risotto, Pizza, alles was das Herz begehrt. Buonissimo. Auch das Personal wieder mal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Top, weiter so :-)

Ohne Frage, die Küche ist gut ... Aber zu den Preisen hätte ich es auch nicht anders erwartet. Der Service ist jedoch gewöhnungsbedürftig... Es ist viel Personal anwesend ... Von angestrengt genervt bis Schleimspur hoch 5 ist alles vertreten ... Nichts wirkt jedoch wirklich ehrlich ... Schade ... Ein Wohlfühlerlebnis kommt da nich auf. View menu

Wie hier schon andere geschrieben haben empfand ich ebenfalls die Getränke als etwas teuer. Ansonsten Preise in Ordnung für die frische italienische Küche. Bruscetta sehr lecker, schön gewürzt, ebenso die Kürbissuppe. Die Nudelportionen sind relativ groß, hatte schon kleinere beim Italiener für den Preis. Besonders zu empfehlen: Pizza mit Trüffelcreme. Vorteil auch an diesem Restaurant: es gibt eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten!

Das Officina in Gelsenkirchen ist mit Sicherheit ein Italiener, der sich trotz der Fülle der Lokalitäten dieses Landes, absolut sehen lassen kann. Von der Qualität der Speisen her bis hin zum Service und der Innen (und Außen-)einrichtung überzeugt das Etablissement und lädt subtil zur Wiederkehr ein. Kein Haute Cuisine Restaurant, aber dafür unprätentiös und genug gehoben und auch für Geschäftsessen geeignet zu sein, allerdings nicht zu abgehoben, um ein Unwohlsein herbeizuführen, wenn man mit Jeans und Chucks vorbeispaziert. In Summe sehr empfehlenswert!
