Oishi - Menu

3 nights of ordering in just eat and two unsatisfactory experiences, this one was delicious. The sushi was great and the katsu curry was lovely.

This is a small Japanese restaurant that I visited. I found their sushi to be of good quality, but their beef rice bowl was only mediocre. The service was acceptable.

My dining companion and I ordered the mixed platter, chicken teriyaki, and spicy edamame. The dishes were fantastic - fresh, flavorful, and a perfect combination of flavors. View menu

Amazing meal, excellent range of veggie options, fabulous flavours. Friendly staff, though not hugely knowledgeable about the menu! Quick service, all round excellent value for money, hugely recommended.

Great value for money had a chicken katsu well fried tender on the inside. Could not tell whether sauce was homemade or storebought, but frying of katsu was worth the 5/5 by itself. In terms of the chicken káraages once again excellent frying, no complaints

Decided rather than buy a take away from a chain we'd try a local restaurant and glad we did. Ordered online and was told would be ready in 10 minutes, went in after 15/20 minutes and it was ready and bagged up. Sign on counter said cash only, but card machine available. Ordered 2 types of Gyoza and squid plus 2 noodle dishes and they were everything we hoped for. Will try the sushi soon. View menu

Really craved japanese food and wasn’t sure it would travel well, I was wrong! I am soo glad we ordered from here tonight, the food came quickly and was reasonably priced and very authentic. I had the yasai hand roll and yasai tofu udon, my husband had a salmon and avocado hand roll, pork tonkotsu ramen and we shared a portion of takoyaki, I can say hands down these were the nicest takoyaki I have tried outside of Japan. Definitely worth a visit/order.

Everything about this place needs to be highlighted. The service is excellent, the food was fantastic and the prices are great value. The menu is comprehensive without offering everything under the sun, which for me gets the alarm bells ringing. The food is freshly prepared. I can recommend the Bento box. Pure theatre! Some of their twists are really interesting and work really well. I think their chef knows what he is doing and takes pride in his craft. they have very good options for vegetarians.

I inquired with the cashier about whether the restaurant served halal food, and she assured me it did. I decided to trust her and ordered the chicken options, which she confirmed were halal. Despite enjoying the delicious and well-prepared meal, I was concerned that I did not see any halal certification or inquire about the presence of alcohol in some dishes. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty, but I have some reservations about whether I was allowed to consume it without proper verification. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures. View menu
