"I lived in Germany for three years, and have visited a few times since then. I generally am very fond of German food and beers, although I mostly do not care for the pizza preparation and taste found in Germany, even at Italian resaturants. The...vegetable/Gemuse piizza here at the Osteria Novecentto, however, was the absolute worst pizza I have tried in any of the 45 countries I have visited. The ham and mushroom pizza and the prosciutto-tomato-mushroom pizza were likewise terrible. No one in our group of five was willing to eat more than one slice of each, hoping one of the pizzas would be more palatable than the other two. The service was also not good. I speak fluent German, and some Italian, but whatever language the server and then another who was called over to help translate, they did not seem to understand any question I had in any language. I also tried French. I am assuming they were Eastern European, and I speak none of those languages. They also had a weak beer selection, although to be fair, a broader wine menu is more expected in an Italian restaurant than beers. All five of us left hungry and aghast at how bad the food was here."
