"We decided to go out for food to celebrate some good news at work, as a local and family favourite we chose The Pack Horse it had been a few years since our last visit so weren't sure what to expect but had good memories from before. From the moment we walked through the door the team couldn't have done more for us to welcome us and make our night special. They were clearly busy but this was explained to us, the wait time for food was clearly explained too and we were supported in finding a seat before a staff member came and took our drinks order. We interacted with about 5 staff members during our visit, each was smiling and helpful. My partner and I both have hospitality backgrounds and understand that busy shifts can be exhausting it was so nice and refreshing to see that the staff all remained positive and with great service despite it being so busy. Service aside, the food was incredible too. The quality of the food and presentation was unbelievable. Even my latte was one of the nicest I've had in a while (better than recent trips to well known coffee brands! . Overall we had such a positive experience and I feel that the team need to be recognised for this. We are already planning our return. Thank you all for making our night so enjoyable."

Very nice pub with cosy atmosphere. Cajun Dry Rub Chicken wings were super tasty crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Our waiter her here was absolutely amazing, he couldn’t have gone done more for us! He also had a great laugh with us, cracking jokes a long with us and generally been amazing with us. I wouldn’t rate him more.

My son and I stopped for lunch at this restaurant. We both ordered the lasagne and thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe the lasagne should be considered for a national award. The staff was excellent and the prices were competitive.

Wow how this place has gone down hill , we visit every year when I visit but this time the food was shocking , asked for steak cooked blue and came out medium , scampi was like a child's portion and the bread was stale , really disappointed

Staff friendly and although persistent respecting our slow decision making. Busy on this Wednesday eve with a birthday party on, were giving waiting time of about half an hour. With us taking our time to choose and having a small starter, it didn't feel we had to wait.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Pack Horse. The steak was cooked perfectly and we were so satisfied that we didn't have room for dessert. We plan to return next time to try both. We have been coming to this restaurant for special occasions for over 20 years. The atmosphere and service are always lovely.

My wife and I have eaten here at least 30 times, went last Friday for what we were expecting to be a good night. Service was great, staff great food was discusting. I ordered the mixed grill sizzling platter was swimming in grease, it's as if it was deep fried.Will not be returning nor will I recommend to anyone else. Such a shame.
