"My hosts abandoned me to my own devices but encouraged me to just eat inside the Grand Elysee n put the tap on the room. Not wishing to eat at the hotel, we all know how they usually aren't the best option, I checked listings on TA. Some have closed, most are far enough I didn't care to walk 8e cold n dark. I "settled" for Piazza Romans, bracing for an okay meal. Instead, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Rather than do the standard 3 course meal, I chatted with the server and order 3 light fares instead:1. avocado salad is a must-try culinary experience. I don't like avocado but this one is so incredibly well prepared, I don't believe I will ever forget it. I picked it because I didn't want the alternative, a regular antipasta. Was I happy!2. Fish/seafood soup is pretty but not to my personal liking for some reason on account of the seasoning but you may like it, my sister did.3. Calamari is different from that which is typically served in America. It's not battered, or served with sweet n sour sauce, and it's got a good portion of tentacles. Slightly smoky which I am certain is very intentional, almost think it's grilled then pan seared. It's very interesting and I appreciate the skill, but not something I would order again. The Italian white wine he recommended was wonderful, and overall a delightful experience. If one must dine inside a hotel, PR is an excellent choice."

Hamburg, a port city in northern Germany, is known for its maritime heritage, vibrant culture, and local dishes like Fischbrötchen and Labskaus. It's a blend of old charm and modern vibe.
