"Upon stepping into pies and pints, we were greeted warmly, and asked whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. We chose inside and were soon seated at a table near the bar. Our server was engaging and knew his beers and menu pretty well. So while we were trying to decide what we wanted to have, my friends and I sampled a few beers, and their selections were excellent in flavor. The rosemary, roasted flat bread with goat cheese was a great start. This was soon followed by the three variations of salads, all of which were served up and presented quite nicely. The flavors of the antipasto salad were spot on with the traditional house dressing atop a fresh bed of mescaline mix, fresh meats and cheeses. The traditional house salad with grilled shrimp was equally delicious, nicely presented and quite flavorful. The third salad, being the Greek salad with a grilled steak was very nicely presented with plenty of feta olives, and all the goodness a Greek God would love to have on his salad. To finish out the meal we enjoyed the peanut butter and chocolate brownie layered cake, which looked delicious on the menu picture but was not quite represented as well on the plate. Everything else was spot on however, this desert had over cooked brownie, with a gritty grainy texture and very little depth in the brownie itself. It seemed like it had spent a little too much time in the oven and could've been cooked a lot less. However, it was not completely inedible just not something that we really enjoyed. This place is worth a definite return trip for the ambience the excellent beer selections, and the high quality salads presented. The pizza looked equally delicious so maybe the next trip we will give that a shot . Four stars due to average dessert presentation."
