"A friend and I were walking around St Goar in the late afternoon on a weekday looking for a place to eat and ran across Alla Fontana. I recalled good reviews on TA, and we decided to give it a try. We were very happy...we did so. We each had a soup (broccoli for me, tomato for my friend), and also both had pasta dishes. Everything we ate was excellent! The restaurant offers simple dishes with simple ingredients but spectacular flavor. Prices were quite reasonable. Our server was lovely and patiently allowed me to communicate with my marginal German. I really loved this place!"

We ate here for my wife's birthday and were not disappointed. The pasta was divine. Lovely family atmosphere everyone looked very happy. Try this restaurant if you are in St Goar.

We ate here twice during our three nights in Sankt Goar. The first we had pizza and the second pasta. Both we very good. The service was a little slow but not bad by European standards. Good food at a good price.

Everything we had was delicious! 2 of us had pizza and 2 had pasta, along with tomato soup. Cozy place during some rain showers. Server was pleasant and helped us with an English menu. If they weren’t closed on Monday, we would have eaten there...a second time before we left town.

My wife and I had 2 meals here when we visited in mid April. The first night we had two pasta dishes and they were very good. The 2nd night my wife had lasagna and I had a calzone. Both again were delicious. Place reminds...me of a house turned into a small restaurant. Not many tables. Exceptional food, quaint restaurant.

This place is a real gem. Very nice staff. Helpful, funny and attentive. Small menu but there is something for everyone. The salads are huge, pasta was delicious and pizza was very good. The desert was a dream. And the best: prices are reasonable The...location is a bit of the main stream on a nice and quite side street. If I would live there it would be my favourite place. We would definitely come again.

Staying in St Goar for 3 nights recently. Tried here on our second night but couldn’t get a table. Decided to go early on our last night and were able to choose inside or out on the terrace. Waitress was helpful and polite. My husband...and I both chose pasta dishes and they didn’t disappoint. My penne al’arrabbiatia was quite simply the best I’d ever tasted! My mouth has been watering for it since I came home!!

Nice little Italian hole in the wall with hardest working woman at front-of-house that I have ever seen. While the pizza was not Neapolitan, it was certainly very tasty as was the lovely panna cotta I had for a dolce. The Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo was...cheap and cheerful just as you would expect and the grappa was eminently drinkable. The atmosphere was frantic but friendly and overall a good dining experience. Strongly recommended.
