Pizzeria Colosseum Winterberg

First day, no reservations so no place for us. Reservation in two blocks possible: 18.30 or from 20h. The food was very very very good. Fresh and tasty products, and we loved the tiramissu ❤.

We visited here twice whilst in Winterberg as the first time was such a success. Big variety of pizzas, huge plates of tasty pasta and generous desserts. It got very busy so I would suggest booking a table.

Seven of us dined here on a cycling trip to the area. The food was quite stodgy, especially the pizza bases. The spaghetti carbonara was too salty. The prices are quite cheap but in my opinion reflect the quality of the end product - I would rather pay more and enjoy the food. We won't be back.

yes, the food (pizza) is good quality at a reasonable price. And, the staff (when you get the spark going) is very attentive. How to get the spark: stand out from the mass (Dutch) tourists by being simply polite and friendly. This place was full in 5 minutes after opening and yet all tables got served speedy; well done to the crew!

On Monday evening the restaurant was very crowded, we had to wait for the table for a while. The waiter didn't offer us any snacks while we waited and kept asking us to move so as not to disturb other customers. The food is ok (we ordered a salad and two pizzas), but nothing special. We came here during a crowded moment. We waited for 15-20minutes for a table. The staff at this restaurant is very friendly. Our order came quick and was excellent. My pizza had a great taste. According fo my father his schnitzel was great and according to my mom her spaghetti was good. I recommend this if you visit Winterberg and want to eat pizza. It is affordable. A "normal" size pizza cost 8 euro and has the size of 8 regular slices.

On Saturday about six P.M. the restaurant was crowded, but it was similarly crowded at the same time on Monday, which was a surprise. Both times the guests were a mix of old and young locals as well as tourists. The latter turned out to be mainly Dutch enjoying their holidays in Winterberg, whereas among the locals there were many young couples with little children. Obviously, locals and foreigners alike were attracted by the quality of food and reasonable prices. In any case, we enjoyed our starters as well as the pizza and the lasagna. Amidst the hustle and bustle the waiter was attentive and professional.

Food was nice enough, not the best calzone I have ever had but not the worst either. The evening was marred by slow service and a group of cackling, seemingly worse for wear German middle-aged women, whose shrieking and volume meant I couldn't conduct a clear conversation with my wife across our table, despite being a couple of tables away from the group. And if I sound like a killjoy, I wasn't the only one in the restaurant who was irked by the noise - some of the other German diners were giving pretty unsubtle looks of displeasure too. The calzone I had was nice and fresh but suffered slightly with a very watery tomato sauce, meaning that as soon as I cut into it, the water leaked out and... View menu
